Florence, Washington
Florence is an unincorporated community in Snohomish County, in the U.S. state of Washington. It's located on Florence Island in the Stillaguamish River delta. History A post office called Florence was established in 1884, and remained in operation until 1949. The community was platted in 1866 and named after the love interest of an early postmaster. Stillaguamish River
The Stillaguamish River is a river in the northwestern region of the U.S. state of Washington. It is mainly composed of two forks, the longer North Fork Stillaguamish () and the South Fork Stillaguamish. The two forks join near Arlington. From there the Stillaguamish River proper flows for to Puget Sound. The river's watershed drains part of the Cascade Range north of Seattle. Stagecoach
A stagecoach is a four-wheeled public transport coach used to carry paying passengers and light packages on journeys long enough to need a change of horses. Stanwood, Washington
Stanwood is a city in Snohomish County, Washington, United States. The city is located north of Seattle, at the mouth of the Stillaguamish River near Camano Island. As of the 2010 census, its population is 6,231. Stanwood was founded in 1866 as Centerville, adopting its current name in 1877 after the arrival of postmaster Daniel O. Pearson. It was platted in 1889 and incorporated as a city in 1903. The city was bypassed by the Great Northern Railway, which built a depot east that grew into its own separate town, incorporated in 1922 as East Stanwood.
