Flint Northwestern High School
Flint Northwestern High School was a high school in Flint, Michigan, United States that served grades nine through twelve. It was part of Flint Community Schools and opened in 1964. In July 2018, the campus was repurposed as Flint Junior High School, which serves grades seven and eight, while its former high school students were relocated to Flint Southwestern Academy. History The school first opened in September 1964. After initial construction, the school was dedicated to the Flint Community Schools Board of Education by Claude E. Stout. Flint Northern High School
Flint Northern High School was a public secondary school located in Flint, Michigan. The original building "#1" was built in 1928 and demolished in the 1980s, after being the home of the Flint Academy. It was one of the high schools in the Flint Community Schools district along with Flint Northwestern High School (now Flint Junior High School) and Flint Southwestern Academy. It was closed in 2013 and reopened as Northern Academy. The Flint school board finally closed the school completely in 2014. Athletics Its terms were the Vikings. Flint Central High School
Flint Central High School was one of the Flint Community Schools, located in Flint, Michigan, USA. Flint Central was the city's oldest school. Its first building was built in 1875, and the school moved into the present building in 1923. It was called Flint High School until Flint Northern High School was built in around 1928. Approximately 2,000 students attended the school at its peak attendance, and about half that at the time of its closing. Graduation ceremonies were held at Whiting Auditorium.
