Fleshwounds
''Fleshwounds'' is the debut solo album from Skunk Anansie lead singer Skin. Not entirely satisfied with its initial release, Skin re-released it with new album artwork and a slightly different track listing. "As Long as That's True" was replaced with "Getting Away with It", a cover of the song by Electronic. The radio edit to "Faithfulness" was also added. Three singles were released from this album; " Trashed", "Faithfulness" and the double A-side, "Lost" / "Getting Away with It". Skin (musician)
Deborah Anne Dyer (born 3 August 1967), known mononymously by the stage name Skin, is a British singer, songwriter and electronic music DJ. She is the lead vocalist of British rock band Skunk Anansie, a band often grouped as part of the Britrock movement in the UK and gained attention for her powerful, wide-ranging soprano voice and striking look. In 2015, she joined the judging panel of the Italian version of the talent show ''The X Factor'' for one season, and 2016 was on the cover of the UK lesbian magazine ''Diva''. After releasing new music and touring with Skunk Anansie, in 2018 Skin was featured as one of the cover stars of ''Classic Rock'' magazine's special "She Rocks" issue and was honoured with the Inspirational Artist Award at the Music Week Awards ahead of celebrating 25 years of Skunk Anansie. Phil Spalding
Philip Spalding (born 19 November 1957, London, England) is an English bass player. He is best known as a session musician and player of Fender Precision Bass guitars. He has played and appeared with performing artists such as Mick Jagger, Seal, Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark, Elton John and Randy Crawford. At an early age he was a successful child model and appeared in a television advertisement for Smiths Crisps. Spalding was a computer operator for a high street bank, before joining rock artist Bernie Tormé in 1976. Later he joined Original Mirrors before beginning a collaboration with Toyah, in December 1980. Whilst with The Toyah band he recorded and co-wrote songs for studio albums and toured with the band, until 1983. Since then he has been a member of GTR and Mike Oldfield's band. Danny Thompson
Daniel Henry Edward Thompson (born 4 April 1939) is an English multi-instrumentalist best known as a double bassist. He has had a long musical career playing with a large variety of other musicians, particularly Richard Thompson and John Martyn. For four years, between 1964 and 1967, he was a member of Alexis Korner's Blues Incorporated, led a trio that included guitarist John McLaughlin, and was a founding member of the British folk-jazz band Pentangle. Getting Away With It
"Getting Away with It" is the first single by the English band Electronic, which comprised Bernard Sumner of New Order, ex- Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr, and guesting vocalist Neil Tennant of Pet Shop Boys. It was first released in 1989. Composition Musically, Bernard Sumner wrote the verse and Johnny Marr wrote the chorus. The lyrics, co-written by Tennant with Sumner, are a parody of Marr's Smiths partner Morrissey, and his public stereotyping as morose and masochistic (Pet Shop Boys would further satirise this trend on their 1990 song "Miserablism"). In a 2021 interview with Music Radar, Marr revealed that Chris Lowe worked on the track, citing the bassline as his work. ABC and The The Drummer David Palmer programmed the track's drums. Len Arran
Len Arran (born Leonard Arran, 7 June 1961, Thornaby-on-Tees, England) is an English composer of film scores, and songwriter for Skunk Anansie and solo artist Deborah Dyer (Skin). He began his career as a guitarist in London in the late 1980s. In 1991, he developed a writing partnership with Dyer, leading to the formation of rock band Skunk Anansie. From 1994 onwards, they produced eight Top 40 singles, including "Hedonism (Just Because You Feel Good)", "Twisted" and "Brazen (Weep)", and three gold/platinum albums: '' Paranoid and Sunburnt'' (1995), '' Stoosh'' (1997) and '' Post Orgasmic Chill'' (1999). 2004 saw the release of songs for Skin's first Solo Album, '' Fleshwounds'' on EMI followed by her second solo album, '' Fake Chemical State'' (V2 Music) released in March 2006. ''Fake Chemical State'' is the second solo album by Skunk Anansie lead vocalist Skin. Released on 20 March 2006, the album was produced by Gordon Raphael and Skin herself, except for the first single "Alone in My Room" which Skin produced with former Mansun lead vocalist Paul Draper. The track "Take Me On" features Italian music group Marlene Kuntz with whom Skin previously collaborated on the track "La canzone che scrivo per te" for their album ''Che cosa vedi''. Guy Chambers
Guy Antony Chambers (born 12 January 1963) is an English songwriter, musician and record producer, best known for his work with Robbie Williams. Education Chambers attended Quarry Bank Comprehensive School sixth form in Liverpool. From 18, he studied composition and piano at the Guildhall School of Music, London. Career Chambers joined World Party in 1986. He co-wrote 'Love Street' with Karl Wallinger on the band's album '' Goodbye Jumbo''. He appeared on The Mission's album ''Carved in Sand'', providing the orchestral arrangement and piano for the song "Grapes of Wrath", and was producer for the short-lived group Stress with their debut album.
