Flemming Østergaard
Flemming Ammentorp Østergaard (born 31 October 1943 in ''Det Gule Palæ'' (Danish: ''The Yellow Palace''), Ordrup) is a retired businessman, best known as long-time chairman of Parken Sport & Entertainment, who owns the football club F.C. Copenhagen. He is also known as ''Don Ø'' due to his sometimes Southern European paternal appearance, a nickname he received in the 1990s, by the editors of the fanwebsite ''"Fusionsnipserne"''. In the eighties he suffered leg injuries from a traffic accident. Although his doctor told him, that he would never walk again, he refused to give up, and managed to work and train his leg, so that he not only walked again, but also was able to win a club championship in his tennis club. Although recognized as a first-class businessman and tough negotiator, Flemming Østergaard has primarily been in charge of the turn-around and rise of F.C. Ordrup
Ordrup is a district of Gentofte Municipality in the northern suburbs of Copenhagen, Denmark. It is located circa north of the city centre. History Ordrup was originally a small village which only consisted of eight farms and a forge. The area became a popular destination for excursions for citizens from Copenhagen in the 17th century. The farmers supplemented their income by harvesting peat that was sold on the market in Copenhagen. Ordrup came under Bernstorff Palace in the 1760s after Foreign Minister Johann Hartwig Ernst von Bernstorff had received the entire area from Christian V as a gift. Bernstorff was a driving force behind the agricultural reforms of the time. A detailed map of the land was drawn up. The land was divided into lots. A draw which took place at Bernstorff Palace on 1 September 1765 distributed the lots among the local farmers. TV 2 (''TV to'') is a Danish government-owned broadcast and subscription television station in Denmark based in Odense, Funen. History Since 1949, Danmarks Radio had been the sole provider of television in Denmark. Wanting to end the monopoly, the Danish Parliament voted on 30 May 1986, to create TV2, as a second choice for public service television. Lyngby Boldklub () is a Danish professional football club founded in 1921. It is based at Lyngby Stadion in Kongens Lyngby, Lyngby-Taarbæk Municipality, a northern suburb of Copenhagen. From 1994 to 2001 the club was known as Lyngby FC. The club has won the Danish championship twice (1983 and 1992) and the Danish Cup three times (1984, 1985 and 1990). History The club was first founded on 8 April 1906 but it was disbanded again in 1915 due to problems with where they were allowed to play. On 30 March 1921, 30 young people from the football department of Lyngby IF decided to break away and start their own club. They named it Lyngby Boldklub af 1921.
