Flatline (Mutya Keisha Siobhan Song)
"Flatline" is a song by English girl group, "Mutya Keisha Siobhan", the original line up of the Sugababes. Written by the trio alongside British artist Dev Hynes, who also produced it, it was released via digital retailers on 6 September 2013 by Polydor Records, who signed the band in 2012. It is a pop and R&B song in which the drums and the male backing vocals get gradually stronger until a climactic part. Lyrically, it addresses the deterioration of a relationship. Upon its release, "Flatline" received acclaim from music journalists, who favoured its production and the singers' vocal harmonies. Commercially, the song charted at number 50 on the UK Singles Chart, however, it reached number 14 in Ireland. To promote the song, the group released a music video, directed by Auleta and filmed at Venice Beach. Sugababes
Sugababes are a British girl group composed of Mutya Buena, Keisha Buchanan and Siobhán Donaghy. The lineup changed three times before returning to the original lineup in 2011. Formed in 1998 by All Saints manager Ron Tom, Sugababes released their debut album '' One Touch'' through London Records in November 2000, which achieved moderate success and produced the top-ten single " Overload". In 2001, Donaghy departed the group and was replaced by Heidi Range. With Range's introduction, the group experienced a higher level of commercial success and went on to release three multi-platinum albums: ''Angels with Dirty Faces'' (2002), '' Three'' (2003) and '' Taller in More Ways'' (2005). In December 2005, Buena left the group and was replaced by Amelle Berrabah. G-A-Y is a long-running gay nightclub, based at Heaven in Charing Cross, London. It started in 1976, and for many years was based at the London Astoria. History G-A-Y started in 1976 in the Sundown club in the basement of the London Astoria (later LA2) as a Monday night event called ''Bang!''. It was started by club promoters Norman Scott, Damien Tony and Jerry Collins, who worked as a DJ under the name Gary London. During the 1980s, ''Bang!'' (which had by then also expanded to Saturday night) and ''Propaganda'' (Thursday night) were run by gay club promoter and DJ Colin Peters (Peter Daubeney), whose brother Jamie continued as promoter for a period following his death. In the early 1990s, ''Bang!'' was acquired by DJ and promoter Jeremy Joseph, formerly employed by Peters, who oversaw its change of name to ''G-A-Y''. Metronome
A metronome, from ancient Greek μέτρον (''métron'', "measure") and νομός (nomós, "custom", "melody") is a device that produces an audible click or other sound at a regular interval that can be set by the user, typically in beats per minute (BPM). Metronomes may include synchronized visual motion. Musicians use the device to practise playing to a regular pulse. Spector are a British indie rock band from London, composed of Frederick Macpherson (vocalist previously of Les Incompétents and Ox.Eagle.Lion.Man), Jed Cullen (guitar), Nicolas Py (drums) and Danny Blandy (keyboard, formerly drums).
