Elliott Webb (born 15 April 1971 in Worcester) is an English radio presenter. Early career Webb started his career in 1989 at Radio Wyvern in Worcester where he presented the evening show. From there he briefly presented the late night show at Severn Sound in Gloucester and then moved to MFM 103.4 to present evenings again. In 1991 he moved to Bradford to work at the newly re-launched Pulse of West Yorkshire. He hosted various shows until he took over presenting duties for Breakfast with co-host Debbie Lindley until his departure in 1996. More early starts followed with his move to Galaxy 101 in Bristol which had recently been acquired by Chrysalis Radio. As part of a major revamp for the station Webb hosted the Breakfast Show with Sally Bailey until March 1997. Private Pilot Licence
A private pilot licence (PPL) or, in the United States, a private pilot certificate, is a type of pilot licence that allows the holder to act as pilot in command of an aircraft privately (not for remuneration). The licence requirements are determined by the International Civil Aviation Organisation ( ICAO), but implementation varies widely from country to country. According to the ICAO, it is obtained by successfully completing a course with at least 40 hours (45 in Europe) of flight time, passing seven written exams, completing a solo cross-country flight (minimum cumulative solo flight time is 10 hours), and successfully demonstrating flying skills to an examiner during a flight test (including an oral exam). In the United States, pilots can be trained under Part 141 of Title 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations, which allows them to apply for their certificate after as few as 35 hours. Howard Bentham
Howard Bentham was born in Bedford in 1965 and is a graduate of Birmingham University. He has worked as a radio presenter since 1997 and a stadium announcer since 1999. Radio career Bentham began his radio career as a volunteer at Dudley Hospital Radio in the West Midlands. His first professional broadcasting role was presenting Weekend Overnights at Wolverhampton's Classic Gold WABC. He then worked at Stratford-upon-Avon's The Bear 102. He began presenting the Weekday Breakfast Show in January 2001 and was their flagship presenter until March 2005. Bentham was recruited as Weekday Breakfast Presenter for BBC Hereford and Worcester in April 2005 and presented the show until October 2014 making him, at the time, the longest serving Weekday Breakfast Presenter in the station's history. BBC Radio Shropshire is the BBC's local radio station serving Shropshire. It broadcasts on FM, DAB, digital TV and via BBC Sounds from studios on Boscobel Drive in Shrewsbury. According to RAJAR, the station has a weekly audience of 61,000 listeners and a 6.6% share as of September 2022. Transmitters The 96 MHz FM signal from The Wrekin is the strongest, and can be heard from outside the county, especially along the M5 and M6 near Birmingham, as well as into western Staffordshire, southern Cheshire and Wrexham. BBC Radio WM is the BBC's local radio station serving the West Midlands. It broadcasts on FM, DAB, digital TV and via BBC Sounds from studios at The Mailbox in Birmingham. Heart Gloucestershire (formerly Severn Sound) was a local radio station owned and operated by Global Radio as part of the Heart network. It broadcast to Gloucestershire from studios in Gloucester. The transmitter was at Churchdown Hill, just west of the M5; the same transmitter as Radio Gloucestershire. History Severn Sound started transmissions on 23 October 1980, from its first studio at the "Old Talbot Pub" in Southgate Street, Gloucester.
