Flamboyant (album)
''Flamboyant'' is the debut studio album by American singer and songwriter Dorian Electra. The album was self-released by Electra on July 17, 2019. A deluxe edition featuring four new tracks and a remix was released on January 17, 2020. It was promoted by the singles "Career Boy", "Man To Man", "Flamboyant", and "Daddy Like". Music videos were released for "Adam & Steve" and "Guyliner". The album received critical acclaim from critics, who praised the production, LGBTQ related lyrics and Electra’s vocal performances. Electra released all of the Stem mixing and mastering, stems for the album for fans to remix on January 17, 2020. An album featuring instrumentals of every song on the deluxe edition was made available on May 1, 2020. An album of voice memo demo recordings of songs from the album was released on May 14, 2020. Dorian Electra Fridkin Gomberg (born 1992) is an American singer, songwriter, and performance artist. Their debut studio album, ''Flamboyant'', was released in 2019, followed by their second studio album, ''My Agenda,'' in 2020. Electra is known for their non-conforming fashion, queer aesthetics, and experimental pop sound. Electra identifies as genderfluid. Early life Electra's father is Paul Gomberg, known as "the Rockstar Realtor" in Houston, and originally from Beverly Hills. Their mother is an artist and jewelry designer Paula Fridkin. Trap Music
Trap is a subgenre of hip hop music that originated in the Southern United States during the 1990s. The genre gets its name from the Atlanta slang word "trap", a house used exclusively to sell drugs. Trap music uses synthesized drums and is characterized by complex hi-hat patterns, tuned kick drums with a long decay (originally from the Roland TR-808 drum machine), and lyrical content that often focuses on drug use and urban violence. It utilizes very few instruments and focuses almost exclusively on snare drums and double- or triple-timed hi-hats. Bubblegum (also called bubblegum pop) is pop music in a catchy and upbeat style that is considered disposable, contrived, or marketed for children and adolescents.
