Abraham Bär Flahm
Abraham Dov Bär ben David Flahm (Hebrew: אברהם דובערוש פלאהם) was the editor and publisher of the Dubner Maggid. Work After finding papers in a Mezritch synagogue left over by the Dubner Maggid 40 years before, including two letters from the Gaon of Vilna to the Maggid, Flahm began editing the writings. Following the Maggid's history he contacted the Maggid's son, and received permission to print his father's writings. The year of the first published book of his was depicted in Gematria as the "year of the flame" - pertaining to his family name which in German means ''flame''. For over 40 years he continued refining his works, while adding his own commentary, and prefaces with the history of the Maggid. In 1886, four years after he began publishing, several different publishers "restored" the original parables, removing Flahm's remarks. Flahm put a notice in the yearly published Hagada that the original parables were extracted from unintelegable writings, ...

Faye Flam
Faye Flam (born c. 1964) is an American journalist. She has written for ''Science Magazine'' and wrote two weekly columns for ''The Philadelphia Inquirer'', including one on sex and one on evolution. Flam wrote a book on the influence of sex on human evolution and society. She teaches science writing and lectures on communication to scientific forums, and is a journalism critic for the MIT Knight Science Journalism Tracker. Education Flam earned a B.Sc. degree in Geophysics from the California Institute of Technology in 1985. Leopold Flam
Leopold Flam (16 March 1912 – 29 September 1995) was a Belgian philosopher. Together with Alphonse De Waelhens, Chaïm Perelman and Rudolf Boehm, he was one of leading philosophers of Belgium from the 1960s until the 1980s. Born in Antwerp, Flam studied social sciences, political history, philosophy at the University of Ghent and obtained a PhD in history. During World War II he was imprisoned in the Dossin Barracks at Mechelen and in the Buchenwald concentration camp. After the war he became a professor at the Free University of Brussels. He founded the ''Vlaamse vereniging voor Wijsbegeerte'' (1959) (E: Flemish League for Philosophy), later of Aurora.
