The flag of the Republic of Bashkortostan ( ba, Башҡортостан Республикаһы флагы, ''Bashqortostan Respublikahy flagy''; russian: Флаг Республики Башкортостан, ''Flag Respubliki Bashkortostan''), in the Russian Federation, is one of the official symbols of the Republic of Bashkortostan, alongside the coat of arms and the national anthem of Bashkortostan. The flag has three horizontal stripes. From top to bottom, the stripes are teal blue, white, and green. The flag has been used officially as the flag of the Republic of Bashkortostan since 25 February 1992. The white stripe of the flag is charged with a Kurai flower in the center. The first national entity that represents the Bashkir people was the state of Bashkurdistan. The state uses a flag similar to the current flag of Bashkortostan. The state anthem of the Republic of Bashkortostan, is the regional anthem of the Russian federal subject of Bashkortostan, adopted on 12 October 1993 and officially on 18 September 2008. It is annexed to the article 112 Constitution of the Republic of Bashkortostan as one of the national symbols of Bashkortostan. The anthem has official lyrics in two of the republic's official languages: Bashkir and Russian. The Bashkir lyrics were written by authors Ravil Bikbayev and Rashit Shakurov, and the Russian lyrics by Farit Idrisov and Svetlana Churayeva. The melody was composed by Farit Idrisov. Flags of the World (abbreviated FOTW or FotW) is an Internet-based vexillological association and resource. Its principal project is the Internet's largest website devoted to vexillology, containing comprehensive information about various flags, and an associated mailing list. The mailing list began as a discussion group in about September 1993, while the website was founded by Giuseppe Bottasini in late 1994, and Rob Raeside took over as director in 1998. Flags of the World became the 56th member of the FIAV in 2001. Blue
Blue is one of the three primary colours in the RYB colour model (traditional colour theory), as well as in the RGB (additive) colour model.
