Bernd Fix
Bernd Fix (born 19 March 1962 in Wittingen, Lower Saxony) is a German hacker and computer security expert. Biography After final secondary-school examination from Gymnasium Hankensbüttel in 1981, Bernd Fix studied Astrophysics and Philosophy at the universities of Göttingen and Heidelberg. He received his diplom for a work in the field of theoretical astrophysics in 1989. From 1987 to 1989 Fix was one of the spokespersons for the Chaos Computer Club and author for the " Hacker Bible 2". After the death of his friend Wau Holland (co-founder of the Chaos Computer Club) in 2001 Fix helped to establish the Wau Holland Foundation and serves as a founding member of the Board of Directors ever since. From 1998 Fix was living and working in Switzerland; he moved to Berlin in 2014. George Fix
George J. Fix (10 May 1939 – 10 March 2002) was an American mathematician who collaborated on several seminal papers and books in the field of finite element method. In addition to his work in mathematics, Fix was a beer and homebrewing enthusiast and educator, as well as the author of several books about brewing. He died of cancer in 2002. Education Fix was born and grew up in Dallas, Texas, and attended Texas A&M University on a baseball scholarship, where he earned a Bachelor of Science. He received his Master of Science degree from Rice University, and in 1968, he earned a Ph.D from Harvard. Professor of mathematics After earning his Ph.D, Fix stayed at Harvard as an assistant professor until 1972. While there, he met Gilbert Strang, and collaborated with him on a paper regarding the Fourier analysis of finite element methods (FEM). Helen Fix
Helen H. Fix (September 21, 1922 – October 13, 2019) was an American politician in the state of Ohio. She was a Republican member of the Ohio General Assembly. A graduate of Richmond University and a former newspaper reporter, she served on Amberley Village Council for four terms. Fix initially decided to run for the Ohio House of Representatives in 1972, following redistricting. Facing incumbent John Bechtold in the Republican primary, Fix won by only one vote. She went on to win reelection in 1974, and 1976. In 1978, it was speculated that Fix would be appointed to replace Senator Michael Maloney in the Ohio Senate, however, the post ultimately went to Richard Finan. Josh Fix is a South African-born American singer-songwriter, composer, multi-instrumentalist and music producer. In 2008 Fix released his self-produced debut album "Free at Last", which saw limited distribution but nevertheless garnered praise in the press, and, among other accolades, found itself on Time Out New York's "Best Rock Albums of 2008" list. Oliver Fix (born 21 June 1973 in Augsburg) is a German slalom canoeist who competed at the international level from 1990 to 1996. Peter Paul Fix (March 13, 1901 – October 14, 1983) was an American film and television character actor who was best known for his work in Westerns. Fix appeared in more than 100 movies and dozens of television shows over a 56-year career between 1925 and 1981. Fix was best known for portraying Marshal Micah Torrance, opposite Chuck Connors's character in ''The Rifleman'' from 1958 to 1963.
