''Hawaii Five-O'' is an American police procedural drama series produced by CBS Productions and created by Leonard Freeman. Set in Hawaii, the show originally aired for 12 seasons on CBS from September 20, 1968, to April 8, 1980, and continues in reruns. At the airing of its last episode, it was the longest-running police drama in American television history and the last scripted primetime show that debuted in the 1960s to leave the air. The show starred Jack Lord as Detective Captain Stephen "Steve" McGarrett, the head of a fictional state police task force in Hawaii. "Five-O" is the first single by Elephant Man from his album '' Let's Get Physical''. In addition, it's also his debut single released with Bad Boy Records. It features Wyclef Jean and has a small vocal in the intro by Diddy. The official remix features Wyclef Jean, Swizz Beatz, Assassin, and Yung Joc. In the remix Swizz adds some of his production. ''Laid'' is the fifth studio album by British rock band James. It was released on 27 September 1993 through Fontana Records. The album's sound, which is "stripped-down" as compared to their prior releases, was inspired by their recent experience touring as supporting act to Neil Young. Enlisting Brian Eno as producer, James recorded for six weeks at The Windings in Wrexham, Wales, and Real World Studios in Box, Wiltshire. The sessions also resulted in the experimental sixth studio album '' Wah Wah'' (1994). The album's lead single, "Sometimes (Lester Piggott),", was released on 30 August 1993. Five-O is a mobile application created by three African-American siblings from Georgia, USA. The three, Ima, Asha, and Caleb Christian, aged 16, 15, and 14 respectively, in 2014, created the application as an attempt to provide a solution to the issues generated from interaction between law enforcement and citizens, such as the shooting of Michael Brown, and their own traumatic experience with two police officers.
