Dan Fishback (born November 4, 1981 in Washington D.C.) is an American performance artist, playwright and singer-songwriter who is heavily associated with that city's anti-folk movement. Life and work Since 2003, Fishback has been performing and writing in New York City. His work includes overt, radical politics and humor as well as experimental and musical theater, punk rock, twee-pop, and solo performances based on monologues. Fishback is the Helix Queer Performance Network's director. Dominique Fishback (born March 22, 1991) is an American actress and playwright who is best known for having played Billie Rowan on ''Show Me a Hero'', Darlene on '' The Deuce'', and Deborah Johnson in ''Judas and the Black Messiah'', the latter of which earned her a nomination for a BAFTA Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role. Fred C. Fishback (born Moscu Fischback; January 18, 1894January 6, 1925) was a film director, actor, screenwriter, and producer of the silent era. Following the 1921 scandal surrounding Roscoe Arbuckle, in which he was involved, Fishback worked mostly under the pseudonym Fred Hibbard. Biography Fred Fishback was born Moscu Fischback (sometimes spelled Fischbach) on January 18, 1894, in Bucharest, Romania. He immigrated to the United States around 1900, and made his motion picture debut with Thomas H. Ince in 1912. As Freddy Fischbach, he became a cameraman at Mack Sennett's Keystone studio, where he worked with comedy star Roscoe Arbuckle. Sennett promoted Fischbach to director, with his surname Americanized to Fred Fishback. Ian Fishback (January 19, 1979 – November 19, 2021) was a United States Army officer, who became known after he sent a letter to Senator John McCain of Arizona on September 16, 2005, in which Fishback stated his concerns about the continued abuse of prisoners held under the auspices of the Global War on Terror. After receipt of his letter, McCain, along with Republican Senators John Warner and Lindsey Graham, wrote an amendment to a Senate bill that would make illegal previous Bush administration claims for the use of extreme methods of abuse. Early life Fishback was born in Detroit on January 19, 1979. He was a 1997 graduate of Newberry High School in Newberry, Michigan, where he played on a football team. Jeffrey ("Jeff") Mason Fishback (born November 20, 1941, in San Mateo, California) is a retired middle- and long-distance runner from the United States. Joe Fishback (born November 29, 1967, in Knoxville, Tennessee) is a former American football safety in the National Football League for the Atlanta Falcons, New York Jets, and Dallas Cowboys. He played college football at Carson-Newman University. Early years Fishback attended Austin-East High School, where he earned All-state honors in both football and baseball. He initially played out of position as an undersized (160 pounds) offensive guard. On the defensive side he played at linebacker and defensive end. He initially accepted a football scholarship from Johnson C. Smith University, but opted to leave after a week, when he came to a decision that the football program wasn't what he expected. Kurt Edward Fishback is an American photographer noted for his portraits of other artists and photographers. Kurt was born in Sacramento, CA in 1942. Son of photographer Glen Fishback and namesake of photographer Edward Weston, he was exposed to art photography at an early age as his father's friends included Edward Weston, Ansel Adams and Wynn Bullock. Kurt studied art at Sacramento City College, San Francisco Art Institute, Cornell University and UC Davis where he received his Master of Fine Arts Degree studying with Robert Arneson, Roy DeForest, William Wiley and Manuel Neri. William Meade Fishback (November 5, 1831February 9, 1903) was the 17th Governor of Arkansas and U.S. Senator-elect for Arkansas. During his time in Springfield, he came into contact with Abraham Lincoln and handled foreclosure proceedings for his firm, Lincoln & Herndon.
