First Günther Cabinet
The first Günther cabinet was the state government of Schleswig-Holstein from between 2017 and 2022, sworn in after Daniel Günther was elected as Minister-President of Schleswig-Holstein by the members of the Landtag of Schleswig-Holstein. It was the 26th Cabinet of Schleswig-Holstein. It was formed after the 2017 Schleswig-Holstein state election by the Christian Democratic Union (CDU), Alliance 90/The Greens (GRÜNE) and Free Democratic Party (FDP). Excluding the Minister-President, the cabinet comprised seven ministers. Three were members of the CDU, two were members of the Greens, and two were members of the FDP. The first Günther cabinet was succeeded by the second Günther cabinet on 29 June 2022. Daniel Günther (born 24 July 1973) is a German politician who is a member of the Christian Democratic Union of Germany (CDU). Since 28 June 2017, he has served as the Minister President of Schleswig-Holstein. From 1 November 2018 to 31 October 2019, he served as President of the Bundesrat, being succeeded by Dietmar Woidke. Tobias Goldschmidt (born 16 September 1981 in Haselünne) is a German politician of Alliance 90/The Greens who has been serving as State Minister of Energy Transition, Climate Protection, Energy and Nature in the government of Schleswig-Holstein since 2022. Ralf Stegner
Ralf Stegner (born 2 October 1959) is a political scientist and a German politician of the Social Democratic Party (SPD) who has been serving as a member of the German Bundestag for the constituency of Pinneberg since the 2021 elections. Stegner was the leader of the SPD in Schleswig-Holstein from 2007 to 2019. He also served as the leader of the position in Schleswig-Holstein from 2017 to 2021, an office he had previously held from July 2009 to June 2012. He is considered a member of the SPD's left wing.
