The First Baptist Church on St. Clair is a Baptist church in Frankfort, Kentucky. The church was founded in 1816, and the current building dates to 1868. It has long been known as the First Baptist Church, also, but is not to be confused with the other First Baptist Church in Frankfort, on Clinton Street, which is a historically African-American congregation. Cooperative Baptist Fellowship
The Cooperative Baptist Fellowship (CBF) is a Baptist Christian denomination in the United States. It is affiliated with the Baptist World Alliance. The headquarters is in Decatur, Georgia. History The Cooperative Baptist Association has its origins in a meeting in Atlanta in 1990 of a group of moderate churches of the Southern Baptist Convention at odds with the denomination for its conservatism on issues such as opposition to the ordination of women.
