FirstService Corporation is a Canadian public real estate services company, specializing in residential property services, and based in Toronto, Ontario. It is listed on NASDAQ and the Toronto Stock Exchange. History FirstService was founded in 1989 by Jay S. Hennick. Its initial assets were a swimming pool management company formerly owned by Hennick, and the College Pro Franchise system acquired by Hennick in 1989. It held an IPO on the Toronto Stock Exchange in 1993. In the 1990s, it expanded into various other residential service franchises, in part through its subsidiary The Franchise Company (later renamed FirstService Brands). In 1996, it expanded into the residential property management business with the acquisition of two Florida property-management firms. Morningside Gardens is a private housing cooperative operated by Morningside Heights Housing Corporation (MHHC) in Morningside Heights, Manhattan, New York City. It is composed of a parking garage and six apartment buildings of 21 stories each, for a total of about 980 apartments. MHHC rents space to the Children's Learning Center preschool and the Morningside Retirement and Health Service. The S&P/TSX Composite Index is the benchmark Canadian index, representing roughly 70% of the total market capitalization on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) with about 250 companies included in it. Union And New Haven Trust Building
The former Union and New Haven Trust Building, located at 205 Church Street in New Haven, Connecticut, was the tallest building in New Haven when it was constructed in 1927. This Georgian-Colonial Revival skyscraper was designed by architects Cross and Cross. The building, sited on the northeast corner of the historic New Haven Green, changed hands several times over the years. In 2014 it was converted into residences and renamed The Union. History Situated on the corner of Elm and Church streets, the site was the home of Richard Perry in the 1640s, who served as secretary to the General Court of the Colony of New Haven.
