Fire Wire is the 5th single released by the German trance duo Cosmic Gate. Released in 2001, Fire Wire charted #9 on the UK Singles Chart, making it Cosmic Gate's best-selling single to date. It was included on their 2001 album Rhythm & Drums as track #3. Fire Wire was remixed by other DJs such as DJ Scott, Klubdoctorz and others. Trance is a genre of electronic dance music that emerged from the British new-age music scene and the early 1990s German techno and hardcore scenes. Cosmic Gate
Cosmic Gate is a German DJ duo consisting of trance music producers Claus Terhoeven (born 1972) and Stefan Bossems (born 1967). Both hail from Krefeld, Germany. On October 28, 2009, ''DJ Magazine'' announced the results of their annual Top 100 DJ Poll, with Ultra Records artist Cosmic Gate placed #19, 43 spots above the group's ranking the year before. For the 2010 ''DJ Magazine'' Top 100 DJ Poll, Cosmic Gate moved to #24. Career Cosmic Gate was formed in 1999 when Terhoeven (also known as Nic Chagall) and Bossems (also known as Bossi) decided to assemble a new project in the electronic music field. Rank 1 is a Dutch trance music, trance group, formed in the Netherlands in 1997. Widely regarded as one of the originators of the Dutch trance sound, the group have produced a number of dancefloor hits since their conception. Although the two members of the group (Benno de Goeij and Piet Bervoets) had worked together before, Rank 1 (a name first used in 1999) was their first project with commercial success.
