Firelord (Pyreus Kril) is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Publication history Firelord first appears in Thor #225 (July 1974) and was created by writer Gerry Conway and penciler John Buscema. Fictional character biography Pyreus Kril is a Xandarian who was born on the planet Xandar, in the Andromeda Galaxy. He is a graduate of the Nova Corps Academy, the military and exploratory force of the planet Xandar. During his commission, he served aboard a Xandarian ship under the command of Gabriel Lan. Gabriel and Pyreus became friends, until Gabriel was abducted by the cosmic entity Galactus and transformed into the herald the Air-Walker. Pyreus assumes command as captain and begins an obsessive search for Gabriel. Pyreus eventually locates Galactus' vessel and confronts the entity, only to discover that Gabriel was killed in combat. Galactus tells this to Pyreus only after the Xandarian agrees to serve him as his latest herald. ...

''Firelord'' is a historical fantasy novel by Parke Godwin, first published in 1980. The novel is a retelling of the King Arthur legend. Firelord sequence ''Beloved Exile'' (1984) is the second book in the ''Firelord'' trilogy. It and ''Firelord'' were later published as one book in Germany (''Feuerkönig''; ''Die Erbin von Camelot''). Short stories "Uallannach - Invitation to Camelot" was written by Parke Godwin in 1988. It was later published by Editor Mike Ashley in London (Chronicles of the Round Table). Synopsis The novel begins with a mortally wounded Arthur dictating his memoir to a friar at a monastery after the Battle of Camlann. ''Firelord'' is an action-adventure game written by Stephen Crow and released in 1986 for ZX Spectrum, Amstrad CPC and Commodore 64 by Hewson Consultants. The game's opening theme was composed by Ben Daglish. Gameplay The player controls the knight Sir Galaheart, who must explore the cursed kingdom of Torot on a quest to recover the four charms of eternal youth. The Evil Queen has tricked the Dragon into parting with the sacred Firestone and used it to curse the kingdom with ghostly apparitions and deadly fireballs, and will only relinquish it in exchange for the four charms. Galaheart is initially defenceless and must quickly find an enchanted crystal in order to defend himself against the cursed apparitions the Evil Queen has flooded the kingdom with.
