Fiona McIntosh is an English-born Scottish rugby union player, who currently plays as a Rugby union positions#Locks, lock for Saracens Women in Premiership Women's Rugby, the top-tier competition of women's rugby union in England, and the Scotland women's national rugby union team, Scotland national team. Club career McIntosh started playing rugby union at the age of seven, firstly in the minis section at Old Alleynian F.C., Old Alleynians, and later for Kent Rugby Football Union, Kent Divas. As a teenager, she took a three-year hiatus from the sport to concentrate on rowing, before returning to rugby while attending Hartpury College. At the age of 18, McIntosh joined Richmond Women, and made her senior rugby debut in September 2018, in a match against Waterloo Ladies, Firwood Waterloo during the 2018–19 Premier 15s season. The Women's Six Nations Championship, known as the TikTok Women's Six Nations for sponsorship purposes, is an international rugby union competition contested between six European women's national teams. It started in the 1995–96 season as the Home Nations, with four teams: England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales. In the 1998–99 season it became the Five Nations, with France joining the original four. The following season, Spain replaced Ireland for two seasons. In 2001–02 the women's Six Nations competition was born with England, France, Ireland, Scotland, Spain and Wales playing, after Ireland rejoined the competition. The 2023 WXV was the first edition of WXV, a women's rugby union, women's Women's international rugby union, international rugby union Group tournament ranking system, group tournament for senior national teams organised by World Rugby, and took place between 13 October and 4 November. The competition featured three Division (sport), divisions of six nations each, evenly divided across two pools. The 2023–24 Premiership Women's Rugby is the seventh season of Premiership Women's Rugby, the top-flight domestic women's rugby union club competition in England.
