2022 Galway Senior Hurling Championship
The 2022 Galway Senior Hurling Championship was the 125th staging of the Galway Senior Hurling Championship since its establishment in 1887. St Thomas' won their fifth consecutive title in a row after defeating Loughrea in a replay at Pearse Stadium on 27 November. Moycullen participated in the senior championship having beaten Killimor in the 2021 Galway Intermediate Hurling Championship. The competition was sponsored by Brooks for the third of a 3-year partnership that started in 2020. Tynagh-Abbey/Duniry were relegated, losing the relegation playoff to Ahascragh-Fohenagh and will play in the 2023 Galway Intermediate Hurling Championship. The 2015 All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship was the 85th staging of the All-Ireland hurling championship for players under the age of eighteen since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1928. All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship
The GAA Hurling All-Ireland Minor Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the Electric Ireland GAA Hurling All-Ireland Minor Championship) is an annual inter-county hurling competition organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). It is the highest inter-county hurling competition for male players under the age of 17 in Ireland and has been contested every year - except for a three-year absence during the Emergency - since 1928. The final, currently held on the third Sunday in August, is the culmination of a series of games played during July and August, with the winning team receiving the Irish Press Cup. 2021 National Hurling League
The 2021 National Hurling League was the 90th season of the National Hurling League for county teams. The English county teams (London, Warwickshire and Lancashire) did not compete due to the COVID-19 pandemic travel restrictions. In February 2021 it was announced that the league would be delayed due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Gaelic games and that cancelling it would be a last resort. The National Hurling League is an annual Inter county, inter-county hurling competition featuring teams from Ireland and England. Founded in 1925 by the Gaelic Athletic Association, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation within the league system. The league has 35 teams divided into six divisions, with either five or six teams in each division. Promotion and relegation between these divisions is a central feature of the league. Although primarily a competition for Irish teams, teams from England – currently Lancashire GAA, Lancashire, London GAA, London and Warwickshire GAA, Warwickshire – also take part, while in the past New York GAA, New York also fielded a team for the latter stages of the league. The 2023 Galway Senior Hurling Championship was the 126th staging of the Galway Senior Hurling Championship since its establishment in 1887. Killimor participated in the senior championship after having beaten Meelick Eyrecourt in the 2022 Galway Intermediate Hurling Championship. The competition was sponsored by Brooks for their fourth year of a partnership that started in 2020.
