Finsbury Park Bus Station
Finsbury Park is a bus station in Finsbury Park, in Islington, London, England, served by several local bus routes. The bus station is next to Finsbury Park London Underground and National Rail station, collectively called Finsbury Park Interchange. Layout The bus station has two parts: Wells Terrace, at the north of the station complex (stops A, B and C) and Station Place, to the east (stops G, H and rail replacement services). Finsbury Park (area)
Finsbury Park is an area towards the northern edge of Inner London, England, which grew up around an important railway interchange near the convergence of the Boroughs of Islington, Haringey and Hackney. Finsbury Park should not be confused with Finsbury, which is a district of Central London roughly three miles to the south, forming the south-eastern part of the London Borough of Islington. Geography The area is centred on Finsbury Park station, a major bus, rail and tube interchange near the southern end of the public park of the same name. London Borough Of Islington
The London Borough of Islington ( ) is a London borough in Inner London. Whilst the majority of the district is located in north London, the borough also includes a significant area to the south which forms part of central London. Islington has an estimated population of 215,667. It was formed in 1965 under the London Government Act 1963, which simultaneously abolished the metropolitan boroughs of Islington and Finsbury. The new entity remains the second smallest borough in London and the third-smallest district in England. Metroline is a bus company operating services in Greater London and south Hertfordshire. It is a subsidiary of ComfortDelGro Corporation and operates services under contract to Transport for London. As at March 2021, the fleet consisted of 1,532 buses, making it the third largest London Buses operator. HCT Group was a social enterprise providing transport services and community services in several areas of the United Kingdom. It was founded in 1982 as Hackney Community Transport in the London Borough of Hackney, to provide transport services for local voluntary organisations, charities, and community groups. HCT Group was registered as a company limited by guarantee (and therefore had no shareholders). The company was also a registered charity. By 2014, HCT Group had a fleet of 500 vehicles, turnover of £43.7 million, and employed over 700. Finsbury Park Station
Finsbury Park is an intermodal interchange station in north London. It serves a number of National Rail, London Underground and bus services. The station is the third busiest Underground station outside Zone 1, with over 33 million passengers using the station in 2019. Name and location The station is named after the nearby Finsbury Park, one of the oldest of London's Victorian parks, opening in 1869. The interchange consists of a National Rail station, a London Underground station and two bus stations, all interconnected. The main entrances are by the eastern bus station on Station Place.
