Finn Arild Hvistendahl
Finn Arild Hvistendahl (born 12 February 1942) is a Norwegian businessperson. He graduated as siv.ing. in 1964, and worked in Norsk Hydro from 1966 to 1968, in Dyno Industrier from 1968 to 1971 and again in Norsk Hydro from 1971 to 1991. He was then CEO of Den norske Bank from 1991 to 1998. He was chairman of the board of Orkla from 2000 to 2001 and the Financial Supervisory Authority of Norway from 2002. Sivilingeniør
Sivilingeniør (shortened siv.ing), not to be confused with civil engineer, is a legally protected engineering title awarded by technical universities in Norway. To qualify for the title, a student must follow a structured study programme in technology and natural sciences of 5 years duration (4.5 years before 2002) at a Norwegian university or university college. Previously it was also a degree in and of itself, though today it is the equivalent of a Master of Science or Master of Technology degree. Before 1992, it was considered by the Norwegian Institute of Technology (NTH) to be equivalent to a Master of Science degree. Although the name is cognate with the English term '' civil engineer'', the meanings do not correspond in modern usage. The degree was not awarded in 2002, when the study program's length was expanded by six months, instead the title Master of Technology was used. Svein Aaser (born 7 October 1946) is a former CEO of DnB NOR, the largest financial group in Norway. He resigned on 31 December 2006. Tom Ruud (born 1 October 1950) is a Norwegian businessman and banker. He graduated from the Norwegian Institute of Technology in 1974 with the siv.ing. degree. He was a consultant in International Business Machines before being hired in the bank Den norske Creditbank in 1984. He was an executive in the Aker system before being hired as CEO of the bank Kreditkassen in 1997. The bank then became a part of the multinational company Nordea. From 2001 he was Nordea's country senior executive in Norway, and the corporation's leader of "Banking & Capital Market Products".
