Rat Fink
Rat Fink is one of several hot rod characters created by artist Ed "Big Daddy" Roth, one of the originators of Kustom Kulture of automobile enthusiasts. Roth conceived Rat Fink as an anti-hero to Mickey Mouse. Rat Fink is usually portrayed as either green or gray, comically grotesque and depraved-looking with bulging, bloodshot eyes, an oversized mouth with sharp, narrow teeth, and wearing red overalls with the initials "R.F." on them. He is often seen driving cars or motorcycles. Roth began airbrushing and selling "weirdo" T-shirts at car shows and in the pages of hot rod publications such as '' Car Craft'' in the late 1950s. By the August 1959 issue of ''Car Craft'', "weirdo shirts" had become a craze, with Ed Roth at the forefront of the movement. His T-shirt designs inspired an industry. Rat Fink was advertised for the first time in the July 1963 issue of '' Car Craft''. The ad called it "The rage in California". Also in 1963, the Revell Model Company issued a plastic mode ...

F*INK
''f*INK Weekly Entertainment Guide '' was a free weekly guide owned by Martin Kean and Caroline McCaw. It was published each Wednesday from February to December, from 1996-2009 in Dunedin, New Zealand. The aim of the guide was to provide free information about events to the local community using cheap one-colour printing but with a distinctive design style. Part of f*INK's mission was support of and collaboration with artist networks, bands and musicians, including those that grew out of the Dunedin sound. History In June 1996, Dunedin, New Zealand, Caroline McCaw and Martin Kean together with Allan Thommason (aka OziBsy) published the first issue of f*INK, in response to a lack of entertainment listings for band events and dance parties in the usual media outlets such as the Otago Daily Times. f*INK was the first of many A6-sized free paper gig guides in New Zealand, and has outlasted many similar guides. f*INK's reputation as a consistent source of entertainment info ...

Finks Motorcycle Club
The Finks is an Australian outlaw motorcycle club that was formed in Sydney, Australia, in 1969 and now also has chapters in other states. The name comes from ''The Wizard of Id'' cartoon where the peasants, to his dismay, often proclaim, "The King is a fink!". The logo used by the Finks is of Bung, the king's jester. The pants worn by the jester used to differ in colour depending on the state the chapter resides in. The club was restricted by government actions in South Australia. Despite rivalries, various other groups joined to protest the South Australian government's proposed "anti-bikie legislation". It was reported in October 2013 that most members were to switch to the United States-based Mongols Motorcycle Club. In 2019, a leader of the Finks Motorcycle Club commit suicide while awaiting charges for violent drug and weapons-related offenses. Brent Reker moved cells shortly before he took his own life, and the incident is being investigated by the Victorian Coroners ...

Fink Effect
The Fink effect, also known as "diffusion anoxia", "diffusion hypoxia", or the "second gas effect", is a factor that influences the pO2 (partial pressure of oxygen) within the pulmonary alveoli. When water- soluble gases such as anesthetic agent N2O ( nitrous oxide) are breathed in large quantities they can be dissolved in body fluids rapidly. This leads to a temporary increase in both the concentrations and partial pressures of oxygen and carbon dioxide in the alveoli. The effect is named for Bernard Raymond Fink (1914–2000), whose 1955 paper first explained it. When a patient is recovering from N2O anaesthesia, large quantities of this gas cross from the blood into the alveoli (down its concentration gradient) and so for a short period of time, the O2 and CO2 in the alveoli are diluted by this gas. A sufficiently large decrease in the partial pressure of oxygen leads to hypoxia, especially if the patient hypoventilates (which allows more time for evolving nitr ...

10891 Fink
1 (one, unit, unity) is a number representing a single or the only entity. 1 is also a numerical digit and represents a single unit of counting or measurement. For example, a line segment of ''unit length'' is a line segment of length 1. In conventions of sign where zero is considered neither positive nor negative, 1 is the first and smallest positive integer. It is also sometimes considered the first of the infinite sequence of natural numbers, followed by  2, although by other definitions 1 is the second natural number, following  0. The fundamental mathematical property of 1 is to be a multiplicative identity, meaning that any number multiplied by 1 equals the same number. Most if not all properties of 1 can be deduced from this. In advanced mathematics, a multiplicative identity is often denoted 1, even if it is not a number. 1 is by convention not considered a prime number; this was not universally accepted until the mid-20th century. Additionally, 1 ...

Fink (software)
The Fink project is an effort to port and package open-source Unix programs to macOS. Fink uses dpkg and APT (Debian's package management system), as well as its own frontend program, fink (which is implemented as a set of Perl modules). Implementation Fink features a binary distribution for quick and easy installation using APT, as well as a more extensive source distribution. In addition to command-line tools for handling packages, the shareware app Phynchronicity provides a GUI. Fink can be used to install newer versions of packages installed by macOS or to install packages not included in macOS by Apple edict. Fink stores all its data in the directory /opt/sw for newer macOS releases and /sw for macOS 10.14 and earlier (although this can be changed if initially compiling fink itself from source code). This goes against the Filesystem Hierarchy Standard's recommendation to use the /usr/local prefix; the reasons given in the Fink FAQ are that other installers might overwri ...
