Finishing Line (出人头地) is a Singaporean Chinese drama series produced by the former Singapore Broadcasting Corporation (SBC) in 1990. The story begins in 1983 and follows a group of friends as they grow up and forge their own paths in adulthood. Edmund Chen
Edmund Chen () (born 4 February 1961) is a Singaporean former actor and artist. He began his career in 1987 and rose to become one of Singapore's most prominent and popular actors during the 1990s and early 2000s. Career Chen entered the entertainment industry after completing the SBC (predecessor of MediaCorp) 7th drama training course in 1987. He starred in several high-profile dramas such as sci-fi drama series ''Star Maiden'', ''Air Force'' and police thriller ''Patrol'', where he met and later married co-star Xiang Yun. During the late 1990s he temporarily left showbiz for several years to concentrate on other projects. After returning to MediaCorp his popularity soared and he won the Top 10 Most Popular Male Artistes award seven consecutive times. Li Nanxing
Jonathan Lee Nam Heng (born 7 November 1964), better known as Li Nanxing (), is a Singaporean actor and was named as 'Ah-Ge' (大哥, "big brother") of Caldecott Hill. He is also a film director and producer. Li has acted in many Chinese-language television dramas produced by MediaCorp Channel 8. He had won the Best Actor awards three times in the Star Awards, an annual acting awards in Singapore. Li was also one of the first batch of actors to receive the All-Time Favourite Artiste award with Zoe Tay & Chew Chor Meng. Aileen Tan (born 18 October 1966) is a Singaporean actress. Life and career She was educated at the now defunct Willow Secondary School. Tan was often cast in leading roles in the first 15 years of her acting career, but has since played supporting roles in recent years. She has been nominated multiple times in the ''Best Actress'' category at the annual Star Awards. Zoe Tay (; born 10 January 1968) is a Singaporean actress and former model. She has been referred to as the "Queen of Caldecott Hill" and "Ah Jie" (Top Actress) by the local media since the rise of her popularity in the 1990s. Angus Tung (; born 26 July 1959) is a Taiwanese singer-songwriter and record producer from the mid-1980s to mid-1990s. Blessed with boyish good looks and talent, Angus Tung debuted in 1983 and released his first solo album "Miss You" (想你) two years after. Channel 8 ( zh, 8頻道) is a Singaporean free-to-air television channel, airing in Mandarin Chinese. It was created by Mediacorp, Television Singapura on 31 August 1963 with experimental broadcasts, before going official on 23 November that year. The channel's logo is a yellow number 8 on top of a red disc. History Channel 8 began its test transmissions on Saturday, 31 August 1963, Malaysia's national day.
