Findlay Kerr
Findlay "Lindy" Kerr (January 16, 1897 – November 1980) was a soccer player who played as a goalkeeper in the National Association Football League and American Soccer League. Born in Scotland, he earned one cap with the United States national team. Professional Some sources state that Kerr began his career in the Scottish League. Regardless, he signed with the U.S. club Bethlehem Steel during the 1920-1921 National Association Football League (NAFBL) season. His first start came in a 9-0 win over Disston A.A. on January 12, 1921. The NAFBL folded at the end of the season, to be replaced by the first American Soccer League. With the change in league, the owners of Bethlehem Steel moved the team to Philadelphia, renaming it the Philadelphia Field Club. Kerr spent the 1921-1922 ASL season in Philadelphia, then moved with the team back to Bethlehem the next season. In October 1923, he moved to the Fall River F.C. Millport, Isle Of Cumbrae
Millport (Scottish Gaelic: Port a' Mhuilinn) is the only town on the island of Great Cumbrae in the Firth of Clyde off the coast of mainland Britain, in the council area of North Ayrshire. The town is south of the ferry terminal that links the island to the Scottish mainland. Due to its small size, the island and its town are often linked in the minds of visitors and residents and Cumbrae is often referred to as Millport. The island offers views across to the Isle of Arran as well as of its smaller neighbour which lies barely a kilometre away, called Little Cumbrae. Edward Tate (born 1901 in South Shields, England) was an English association football, football full-back (association football), full-back who began his career in Canada and finished it in the American Soccer League (1921-1933), American Soccer League. Tate, a native of England, was described as a "big, burly, right fullback" that was a "colorful, wholehearted" player. He played with the England national team at the schoolboy level. At some point, he moved to Canada where he began his professional career in 1921 with New Waterford in Nova Scotia, Canada. He then moved to Canadian Explosives in 1922. That year, he left Canada and signed with the Fall River F.C. (1922–1931), Fall River F.C. of the American Soccer League (1921-1933), American Soccer League.
