Finavia
Finavia Oyj, formerly the Finnish Civil Aviation Administration, is the public limited company responsible for maintaining and developing Finland's airport network. Finavia manages and develops 20 airports around the country, 18 of which primarily serve commercial flights and 2 of which focus solely on military and general aviation. Finavia is owned by the Finnish Government. Finavia's headquarters are located on the grounds of Helsinki Airport. Kimmo Mäki started as Finavia's CEO January 1, 2018. The Prime Minister's Office is responsible for Finavia's ownership steering and oversight. In 2019, 26 million passengers used Finavia's airports, with Helsinki Airport, Finavia's main airport, constituting 21.9 million of those. Turku Airport , is located in Turku, Finland, north of the center, in ''Lentokenttä'' (Finnish for 'airfield'; sv, Flygfältet) district in the Maaria-Paattinen ward of Turku. Vaasa Airport ( fi, Vaasan lentoasema, sv, Vasa flygplats) is located in Vaasa, Finland, about south-east of Vaasa city centre. As of 2021, it is the 9th busiest airport in Finland with 19,231 passengers. Regular airlines at Vaasa airport are Finnair and Scandinavian Airlines. Rovaniemi Airport
Rovaniemi Airport ( fi, Rovaniemen lentoasema) is the third busiest airport in Finland, located in Rovaniemi, Finland, about north of Rovaniemi city centre. The Arctic Circle crosses the runway closer to its northern end. History The airport was built in 1940 with two grass-surfaced runways. During the Continuation War it served as an airbase and supply center for German Luftwaffe. Facilities In 2017, the airport served about 580,000 passengers. The main season of charter traffic from Great Britain and many other European countries lasts from the end of November until the middle of January annually. Kemi-Tornio Airport (; fi, Kemi-Tornion lentoasema; sv, Kemi-Torneå flygplats) is an airport in Kemi, Finland. Pori Airport ( fi, Porin lentoasema) is an airport in Pori, Finland. The airport is located south of the Pori town centre. It has two check-in desks, and a cafeteria service. Oulu Airport
Oulu Airport (; fi, Oulun lentoasema, sv, Uleåborgs flygplats) is located in Oulu, Finland, south-west of the city centre. The airport is the second busiest in Finland after Helsinki-Vantaa Airport, as measured by the number of passengers (ca. 1.1 million in 2018). There are around 20 daily flights to Helsinki. Jyväskylä Airport
Jyväskylä Airport (; fi, Jyväskylän lentoasema) is an airport in Jyväskylä, Finland. It is located in the center of the Finnish Lake District approximately north of the center of Jyväskylä. The airport terminal was renovated in the fall of 2004. The Air Force Academy Flight School and the Air Force Academy Supporting Air Operations Wing are stationed at the airport. Kokkola-Pietarsaari Airport
Kokkola-Pietarsaari Airport ( sv, Karleby-Jakobstad flygplats, fi, Kokkola-Pietarsaaren lentoasema; ) is located in Kronoby, Finland, about south of Kokkola city centre and north-east of Jakobstad city centre.
