Bobby Finan
Robert Joseph Finan (1 March 1912 – 25 July 1983) was a Scottish professional footballer. He played as a forward. Club career Finan was born in Old Kilpatrick in West Dunbartonshire. He started his career at Scottish junior club Yoker Athletic before signing for Blackpool, managed by fellow Scot Sandy MacFarlane, in 1933. He made his debut for the club in the penultimate league game of the 1933–34 season, a 7–0 defeat at Grimsby Town on 28 April 1934. He went on to score three more goals during that league campaign. Finan scored his first professional goal in the opening game of the following 1934–35 campaign, a 5–1 victory at Bury on 25 August 1934. In 1935–36, with Jimmy Hampson injured, Finan deputised at centre-forward and ended the season as the Second Division's joint-top scorer with 34 goals. Joe Finan
Joseph Albert Finan (July 6, 1927 – December 19, 2006) was an American radio show host. Finan was born in 1927 in Butler, Pennsylvania. He served in the United States Navy 1944–45 and attended Carnegie Tech, now Carnegie Mellon University, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He began his broadcasting career as a weatherman in early 1950s at KYW-TV (now WKYC-TV) and radio personality on KYW radio in Cleveland, Ohio. While at KYW-TV, Finan worked alongside sports anchors Bob Neal and Jim Graner, and preceded weatherman Dick Goddard. While a top rated disc jockey at KYW, Finan was implicated in the 1960 payola scandal that also named Alan Freed and others. It led to Finan's departure from KYW and ended the career of Freed, who first coined the name Rock and Roll. Finan was hired by KTLN-Denver owner Richard K. Finan of Lindisfarne (died 10 or 17 February 661), also known as Saint Finan, was an Irish monk, trained at Iona Abbey in Scotland, who became the second bishop of Lindisfarne from 651 until 661. Life Finan was appointed to Lindisfarne in 651, to succeed Aidan. Originally from Ireland, he built on Lindisfarne, a cathedral "in the Irish fashion", employing hewn oak, with a thatched roof. Later Archbishop Theodore of Tarsus dedicated to St. Peter. Finan also founded St. Mary's Priory at the mouth of the River Tyne. He also participated in the founding of Gilling Abbey, established by Queen Eanflæd in memory of her kinsman Oswine of Deira.
