Final Round 2018 or Final Round 21 was a fighting game event that took place in Atlanta on March 16–18, 2018. Being the first of the ''Street Fighter V'' Premier Events of the 2018 Capcom Pro Tour, the winner of the tournament automatically qualified for the Capcom Cup in December 2018. The event also hosted the first major ''Dragon Ball FighterZ'' tournament. Background Final Round 2018 took place on March 16–18 in Atlanta, Georgia and featured various fighting game tournaments, including the first international ''Dragon Ball FighterZ'' tournament. 314 players signed up for the ''FighterZ'' tournament, and over 350 players participated in Final Round 2018's ''Street Fighter V'' tournament. Both games featured participants from Japan, Korea, Brazil, the Dominican Republic, the United Kingdom, and China. A playable build of '' Soul Calibur VI'' was available for entrants at Final Round 2018. This was the first chance for fans of the franchise to see live gameplay of the title. ... Street Fighter V
''Street Fighter V'' is a fighting game developed by Capcom and Dimps and published by Capcom for PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Windows, Windows in 2016. An Arcade game, arcade version exclusive to Japan was released by Taito in 2019. Similar to the previous games in the ''Street Fighter'' series, ''Street Fighter V'' features a side-scrolling fighting gameplay system. The game also introduces the "V-Gauge", which builds as the player receives attacks and adds three new skills. The game featured 16 characters at launch, with four of them being new to the series. A main story mode and 30 additional characters were added through updates and downloadable content. According to Capcom, the game is a PlayStation 4 console-exclusive due to both Sony and Capcom having "the same vision for the growth potential in the fighting game space". ''Soulcalibur VI'' is a fighting game developed by Bandai Namco Studios and Dimps and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows in 2018. It is the seventh main installment in the '' Soulcalibur'' series. Gameplay Following the tradition of prior installments of the '' Soulcalibur'' series, ''Soulcalibur VI'' gameplay involves two weapons-wielding combatants battling against one another using a 3D system. The game kept many of the familiar gameplay elements including 8-Way Run, Guard Impact, and character creation, but adds to the traditional formula by introducing new mechanics such as Reversal Edge and the newly revamped Soul Charge. The Reversal Edge allows players to defend against an oncoming attack and quickly strike back, alongside a slow-motion effect, enabling more defensive options for the players. The giant panda (''Ailuropoda melanoleuca''), also known as the panda bear (or simply the panda), is a bear species endemic to China. It is characterised by its bold black-and-white animal coat, coat and rotund body. The name "giant panda" is sometimes used to distinguish it from the red panda, a neighboring Musteloidea, musteloid. Though it belongs to the order Carnivora, the giant panda is a folivore, with bamboo shoots and leaves making up more than 99% of its diet. Giant pandas in the wild occasionally eat other grasses, wild tubers, or even meat in the form of birds, rodents, or carrion. In captivity, they may receive honey, eggs, fish, yams, shrub leaves, oranges, or bananas along with specially prepared food. It is currently owned by a company called Gamerhub Content Network. Gamerhub Content Network purchased the site in January 2014. History ''Shacknews'' was founded in 1996 by Steve "Scary" Gibson, 20 years old at the time, as a website dedicated to following news about the then-upcoming game ''Quake (video game), Quake'' from id Software. The original name of the website was "''Quakeholio''". Through the years the website evolved to cover more than just Quake and the name was changed. "''Shugashack''" was chosen after a discussion with friends about the general direction of the page and content.
