Filmfare Award East For Best Male Playback Singer
The Filmfare East Best Male Playback Singer Award is given by Indian film magazine ''Filmfare'' as a part of its annual Filmfare Awards for Bengali films, to recognise a male playback singer who has delivered an outstanding performance in a film song. Superlatives Arijit Singh was the first holder of this award back in 2014 for the song "Mon Majhi Re" from ''Boss''. Nachiketa Chakraborty won the award on the second edition in 2017. Arijit Singh also holds the record for most nominations (7), Youngest winner, Youngest nominee. Anupam Roy holds the record for most nominations without ever winning (5). Nachiketa Chakraborty has won the award twice, while Arijit Singh and Anirban Bhattacharya has won the award once. Filmfare Awards East
Filmfare Awards Bangla is the Bengali segment of the annual Filmfare Awards, presented by The Times Group to honour the artistic and cinematic excellence in Bengali. The first installment of the awards were held for Bengali, Assamese and Odia films in a ceremony on 29 March 2007. The award ceremony was discontinued for Two Times respectively 2013, 2015 and 2016, then again continued from 2017 and now only given to Bengali Film Industry. History On 8 March 2014, in a press conference held at Kolkata, the Worldwide Media group announced that Filmfare Award is debuting in Eastern India to honour the best cinematic artistic talent of the region. In the inaugural installment, awards in 29 categories would be given away at the Science City auditorium, Kolkata on 29 March 2014. The awards would include 21 trophies for Bengali movies and four each for Odia and Assamese films. ''Alik Sukh'' (English: ''Unreal Happiness'') is a 2013 Bengali Medical psychological thriller based on the novel ''Alikh Sukh'' by Suchitra Bhattacharya. The film is directed by the duo Shiboprosad Mukherjee and Nandita Roy, starring Debshankar Haldar, Rituparna Sengupta and Sohini Sengupta in the lead roles. It released on 19 July 2013. ''Finally Bhalobasa'' (English: "Finally Love", 2019) is an Indian Bengali language anthology film directed by Anjan Dutt. The film includes 3 stories and explores different dimensions of life . The trailer of the film was released in January 2019. The film was theatrically released on 8 February 2019. Plot The story is subdivided into three parts. The first part of the story is about an insomniac, depressed wife of a dominating man. The lady finds solace in an employee of her husband, who tries to get her out of the situation. However, he fails in his attempts, and the lady is forced to commit suicide. The second part is about an aged man falling in love with a young woman. The third part is about an HIV patient, who is taken care of by a male nurse, who wins his heart. At the end of the film, it is revealed that all the characters are somehow related to the others. Neel Dutt
Neel Dutt (born 7 March 1979) is an Indian composer and singer from Kolkata. He received the National Film Award for Best Music Direction from the Govt. of India in 2012 for the soundtrack of the Bengali film ''Ranjana Ami Ar Ashbona'' (Ranjana I ain't coming back no more). Dutt is the third person from West Bengal to win the Best Music Direction award. ''Gotro'' () is a 2019 Indian Bengali-language emotional drama film, directed, produced and co-written by Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee. It stars Anashua Majumdar, Nigel Akkara and Manali Dey, with Ambarish Bhattacharya, Saheb Chatterjee and Badshah Moitra.
