Filipe Gouveia
António Filipe de Sousa Gouveia (born 12 May 1973) is a Portuguese football manager and former player who played as a central midfielder. He is the current manager of Saudi Arabian club Al-Hazem. He amassed Primeira Liga totals of 174 matches and 17 goals over eight seasons, representing Farense, Belenenses, Boavista, Paços de Ferreira, Nacional and Gil Vicente. He added 159 appearances and 21 goals in the Segunda Liga, in a 19-year senior career. Gouveia started working as a manager in 2011. In professional association football, a free transfer, also known as a Bosman transfer, involves a professional association football club releasing a player when the player's contract has expired or made available just before the end of the contract. The player can then go on to sign for any club offering a contract to them. The 2000–01 Primeira Liga was the 67th edition of the top flight of Portuguese football. It started on 19 August 2000 with a match between Braga and Vitória de Guimarães, and ended on 27 May 2001. The league was contested by 18 clubs, with Sporting CP as the defending champions. Boavista won their first league title, becoming only the second champions from outside the Portuguese "Big Three" (''Os Três Grandes'') of Benfica, Porto and Sporting, after Belenenses in the 1945–46 season. Boavista qualified for the 2001–02 UEFA Champions League group stage along with Porto, who entered the second qualifying round. Sporting and Marítimo qualified for the 2001–02 UEFA Cup. In association football, a substitute is a player who is brought on to the pitch during a match in exchange for an existing player. Substitutions are generally made to replace a player who has become tired or injured, or who is performing poorly, or for tactical reasons (such as bringing a striker on in place of a defender). A player who has been substituted during a match takes no further part in the game, in games played under the standard International Football Association Board Laws of the Game. Rui Carlos Jorge Pataca (born 8 May 1973) is a Portuguese retired football who played as a striker, and a manager. Playing career Born in Luanda, Portuguese Angola, Pataca only started playing professional football at the age of 22, with A.D. Ovarense in the Portuguese second division, going on to play with S.C. Covilhã in both that and the third levels. After an impressive season with F.C. Felgueiras in division two (18 goals), he signed for C.F. A transfer window is the period during the year in which a football club can transfer players from other playing staff into their playing staff. Such a transfer is completed by registering the player into the new club through FIFA. "Transfer window" is the unofficial term commonly used by the media for the concept of "registration period" as described in the FIFA Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players. According to the rules, each national football association decides on the time (such as the dates) of the 'window' but it may not exceed 12 weeks.
