Fikret Şeneş
Fatma Fikret Şeneş (1921 – 16 February 2015) was the first Turkish female songwriter. By writing over 290 songs, she hugely contributed to the Turkish pop music. Her songs attracted great interest. Career In the mid-1950s, Fikret Şeneş, who was in her early 30s, wrote her first lyrics for Erol Büyükburç, took vocal lessons and played the piano. In the late 1960s, "İki Yabancı" became the first Turkish song written by Şeneş. She then wrote hundreds of songs for popular artists in Turkey. Personal life Fikret Şeneş's mother, Calibe, together with her husband chose their surname Şeneş as the Surname Law (Turkey), Surname Law was enforced in Turkey. After graduating from the Robert College, American College for Girls in Istanbul, Fikret Şeneş enrolled in the singing department of the conservatory and left without finishing the conservatory. Aşkın Nur Yengi (born 3 July 1970) is a Turkish singer and actress. With her debut album Sevgiliye in 1990 she became one of the most successful Turkish singers of the '90s. Personal life Yengi married Haluk Bilginer in 2006 and they have a daughter. The couple divorced in 2012 after six years. Nilüfer (singer)
Nilüfer Yumlu (born 31 May 1955), commonly known as Nilüfer, is a Turkish pop singer. In 1992, one of her biggest hits, "Show Yapma", was included in the album ''Yine Yeni Yeniden''. Wesley Kimler (born 1953) is an American artist based in Chicago, Illinois, known for his colossal paintings, up to 15 feet high and 27 feet wide. According to critic Kevin Nance, these are "expressive, gestural, hybrid paintings that combine abstract and figurative elements in a way that's theatrical and beautiful, sometimes grotesque and surreal, and always powerfully evocative." History Wesley Kimler was born in Billings, Montana. His family moved to California in 1959, where Kimler lived until he left home at the age of 14. ''Süperstar '83'' is the ninth studio album by Turkish singer Ajda Pekkan. It was released on 19 March 1983 by Balet Plak. With the release of the albums ''Süperstar'' (1977) and ''Süperstar 2'' (1979) in the decade before, Pekkan succeeded in getting critical acclaim, however, following her poor results on the Eurovision Song Contest 1980 she stayed away from the music market for a while. Meanwhile, she released two records under the Yaşar Kekeva Plak label, but experienced various problems with the company. While Pekkan's disagreements with the company continued, in August 1982 she joined the musical '' Büyük Kabare'' with Metin Akpınar and Zeki Alasya. Sezen Aksu (; born Fatma Sezen Yıldırım; 13 July 1954) is a Turkish pop music singer, songwriter and producer who has sold over 40 million albums worldwide. Her nicknames include the "Queen of Turkish Pop" and "''Minik Serçe''" ("Little Sparrow"). Pop music is a genre of popular music that originated in its modern form during the mid-1950s in the United States and the United Kingdom.
