Fikile Magadlela
Fikile Patrick Magadlela (13 December 1952 – 2003) was born in Newclare, Johannesburg South Africa. He started drawing on his parents’ walls from as early as he could remember. Raised from a loving home by his parents Arthur Magadlela and Mavis Magadlela. Reading books his father bought and getting knowledge from older people. He dropped out of High school in standard 8 (10th grade) to work as a full-time artist. Magadlela was relatively self-taught but he spent many hours with fellow artists exchanging ideas and techniques. Magadlela worked closely with artists such as Ezrom Legae, Solly Maphiri, Winston Saoli, Percy Sedumedi, Pietro Cuzzolini and Harold Jeppe who became his mentor, introducing him to art circles in Johannesburg. His most renowned work was entitled “Birth of The Second Creation” a series of drafted, mystical landscapes showing an African man and woman in flowing drapery and overwhelming clouds. Fikile Mbalula
Fikile April Mbalula (born 1 April 1971 in the Free State) is a South African politician who is currently serving in the cabinet as Minister of Transport. He previously served as both Minister and Deputy Minister of Police and Minister of Sports and Recreation. Mbalula is the Secretary-General of the African National Congress (ANC) and a former leader of the African National Congress Youth League. Mbalula also serves as the head of elections for the African National Congress. Mbalula was elected Secretary-General of the ANC at the 55th National Conference of the African National Congress in December 2022. Personal life She was born on 13 April 1989 in Lesotho to a Mosotho father and Kenyan/Tanzanian mother. She has a younger brother who lives in Cape Town. From 2001 to 2005, she attended to Machabeng International College based in Maseru. Then she moved to Bloemfontein, South Africa and completed her Matric in 2007, at St Michael Girls School.
