Fightmilk
Fightmilk is an indie rock band from London, England. After releasing two EPs, the self-released ''The Curse of Fightmilk'' in 2016 and ''Pity Party'' on Fierce Panda in 2017, the band released their debut album ''Not With That Attitude'' with Reckless Yes in 2018. Their second album ''Contender'', on the same label, was released in 2021. Their output has been compared to Superchunk, Weezer, Kirsty MacColl, and Diet Cig. History Fightmilk was formed in London in 2015 by Lily Rae (guitar and lead vocals), Alex Wisgard (guitar), Adam Wainwright (bass), and Nick Kiddle (drums). After self-releasing their debut EP ''The Curse of Fightmilk'' in 2016 they caught the attention of longstanding London independent label Fierce Panda who released their second EP, ''Pity Party'' in 2017. Dean Street Studios
Dean Street Studios is a commercial recording studio located at 59 Dean Street, Soho, London, England. History The premises are first known to have been used as a film studio in 1950s, which then became Zodiac Studios. The studio was bought by producer Tony Visconti in 1977 and operated for 13 years under the new name Good Earth Studios, with Paul Cartledge taking the role of a studio manager. Here Visconti recorded and produced such famous acts as T. Rex, David Bowie, Phil Lynott and Thin Lizzy. In 1989, Joe & Co bought the lease and expanded into the rest of the basement, by building a few more music recording/production suites. Jasmin Lee, the daughter of Alvin Lee from Ten Years After, took over the business in 2007 and re-launched it as Dean Street Studios, in partnership with the studio head engineer and director Ben Roulston. ''Kerrang!'' is a British weekly magazine devoted to rock, punk and heavy metal music, currently published by Wasted Talent (the same company that owns electronic music publication ''Mixmag''). It was first published on 6 June 1981 as a one-off supplement in the ''Sounds'' newspaper. Named after the onomatopoeic word that derives from the sound made when playing a power chord on a distorted electric guitar, ''Kerrang!'' was initially devoted to the new wave of British heavy metal and the rise of hard rock acts.
