Fight For Life (film)
''Fight for Life'' is a 1987 American made-for-television drama film starring Jerry Lewis (in his television film debut), Patty Duke and Morgan Freeman. It was originally broadcast on March 23, 1987, on ABC. Plot Dr. Bernard Abrams, an Ohio optometrist, and his wife Shirley Abrams have a six-year-old daughter that suffers from a rare form of epilepsy. The child's paraplegic doctor cares for her. As for the little girl's parents, they need to have a drug approved from the Food and Drug Administration. However, the process is slow and they are forced to fly to England to obtain the medication. They take their cause to the media in order to highlight their case and force the FDA to expedite its decision on use in America. Elliot Silverstein
Elliot Silverstein (born August 3, 1927) is an American film and television director. He directed the Academy Award-winning western comedy ''Cat Ballou'' (1965), and other films including '' The Happening'' (1967), '' A Man Called Horse'' (1970), ''Nightmare Honeymoon'' (1974), and ''The Car'' (1977). His television work includes four episodes of ''The Twilight Zone'' (1961–1964). Career Elliot Silverstein was the director of six feature films in the mid-twentieth century. The most famous of these by far is ''Cat Ballou'', a comedy-western starring Jane Fonda and Lee Marvin. The other Silverstein films, in chronological order, are '' The Happening'', '' A Man Called Horse'', ''Nightmare Honeymoon'', ''The Car'', and '' Flashfire''. ''Dominick and Eugene'' is a 1988 American drama film directed by Robert M. Young about twin brothers, Dominick and Eugene. Dominick has an intellectual disability due to an accident in his youth. The film stars Ray Liotta, Tom Hulce and Jamie Lee Curtis. Plot Dominick "Nicky" and Eugene "Gino" Luciano are twin brothers living together in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Nicky has a learning disability, and Gino cares for him. Gino, who is studying to become a doctor at a local hospital, receives an offer to complete his education at Stanford University but fears that Nicky will not be able to take care of himself.
