Fiendens Musik
Fiendens musik ("The music of the enemy") was a rock band founded in Lund in 1977 by Mats Zetterberg and Mats Bäcker. They began as a coverband and rapidly progressed when they began writing their own material, inspired by early punk rock, punk, pubrock and New wave music, New Wave. Their first single, "En spark rätt i skallen" (Jönsson/Schiffman) was released on Bellatrix (skivbolag), Bellatrix in Malmö and was their breakthrough. Fiendens Musik was an amalgamation between Swedish progg and the new punk. Their stage performances was noted for their high temp, fast songs, clattering guitars, bellowing sax and a frantic stage show with musicians who literally fell over each other. Fiendens musik played together with bands like Ebba Grön, Dag Vag, Grisen Skriker, TT Reuter and others in the punk movement that they did not belong to, but sympathized with. Lund
Lund (, , ) is a city in the southern Swedish provinces of Sweden, province of Scania, across the Øresund, Öresund strait from Copenhagen. The town had 91,940 inhabitants out of a municipal total of 121,510 . It is the seat of Lund Municipality, Scania County. Dag Vag
Dag Vag is a Swedish band formed in 1978. The lead singer was Per Odeltorp (1948–2012), popularly known as Stig Vig. Their early punk sound became, after a while, increasingly more reggae-like. The band referred to it as "transcontinental rock-reggae". Their popularity peaked in the 1980s, but they are still active. Maoism
Maoism, officially called Mao Zedong Thought by the Chinese Communist Party, is a variety of Marxism–Leninism that Mao Zedong developed to realise a socialist revolution in the agricultural, pre-industrial society of the Republic of China and later the People's Republic of China. Dan Tillberg
Dan Arne Tillberg (born 9 April 1953 in Ystad) is a Swedish artist and producer. He is the son of Arne Tillberg and Ettie Tillberg. Career Dan Tillberg began his career in 1973 as a singer, guitarist and percussionist in the progg-influenced duo Änglabarn (Angel Children), along with Sven Ingmar Olsson. In 1977, he started his own recording studio in Malmö, Bellatrix (record label), Bellatrix, and a record label of the same name the following year. In 1979, his first LP, Gatstenar (Paving Stones), was released, which featured Swedish-language cover versions of Rolling Stones songs, and in 1981 was followed by the LP ''Mors och fars kärlek'' (Mother And Father's Love), which was his breakthrough. Ebba Grön
Ebba Grön was a Swedish punk band formed in Stockholm, Sweden, in 1977. Ebba Grön consisted of Joakim Thåström (lead vocals, guitar), Gunnar Ljungstedt (drums) and Lennart Eriksson (bass guitar, backing vocals). Thåström, Ljungstedt and Eriksson were also known as Pimme, Gurra and Fjodor. After the release of their second album in 1981, they were joined by a fourth member, Anders Sjöholm, also known as Stry Terrarie, on keyboard. The group disbanded in 1983. One of the most famous songs they recorded is a cover version of "Den ena handen vet vad den andra gör" by the Swedish progg band, ''Blå Tåget''. Progg
Progg was a left-wing and anti-commercial musical movement in Sweden that began in the late 1960s and became more widespread in the 1970s. Not to be confused with the English expressions "progressive music" or "prog rock," progg is a contraction of the Swedish word for musical progressivism, ''progressiv musik''. While there were progg bands playing progressive rock, the progg movement encompassed many different musical genres. The political progg movement culminated around the 1975 Eurovision Song Contest, which was held in Stockholm after ABBAs victory in Brighton the year before. It was expressed that "music can't be a contest" and an "alternative festival" was held in protest. Due to this debate, Sweden did not participate in the 1976 Eurovision Song Contest. Malmö
Malmö (, ; da, Malmø ) is the largest city in the Swedish county (län) of Scania (Skåne).
