Fieldy's Dreams
Fieldy's Dreams is a rap project by Korn bassist Reginald "Fieldy" Arvizu, active from 2000 to 2002. His first album, the gangsta rap album ''Rock'n Roll Gangster'', was released on January 22, 2002. Most of the lyrics and music were by Fieldy himself, with Polar Bear (of Infinite Mass) helping out with the rest. Fieldy renamed his project Fieldy's Nightmare and was due to release a 2008 album, ''Sobriety'', but recording was put on hold to focus on work with Korn. Fieldy said that the new album would not be gangsta rap but a bass instrumental album with a funk/jazz fusion. Korn
Korn (stylized as KoЯn, or occasionally KoRn) is an American nu metal band from Bakersfield, California, formed in 1993. The band is notable for pioneering the nu metal genre and bringing it into the mainstream. Reginald Arvizu
Reginald Quincy Arvizu (born November 2, 1969), also known as "Fieldy", is an American musician, best known as the bassist for nu metal band Korn. He is also the guitarist/bassist for rock band StillWell. Musical career Prior to Arvizu's time in Korn, he and Brian Welch, who would later become one of Korn's two guitarists (alongside James Shaffer), had played together in a number of bands, having become friends while still at school. Upon their graduation from high school, Arvizu, Welch, Shaffer, and drummer David Silveria relocated from Bakersfield to Los Angeles and Arvizu, Shaffer, and Silveria formed L.A.P.D. (the name first stood for "Love and Peace, Dude", but this abbreviation was later changed to "Laughing As People Die"). Gangsta Rap
Gangsta rap or gangster rap, initially called reality rap, emerged in the mid- to late 1980s as a controversial hip-hop subgenre whose lyrics assert the culture and values typical of American street gangs and street hustlers. Infinite Mass
Infinite Mass is a Swedish hip hop group formed in 1991. In 1992 the group won the talent show Swedish Championship of Rap. The same year, they achieved fame by participating in the movie '' Sökarna,'' and released the single "Shoot the Racist", which was later renamed "Area Turns Red". There was some controversy in the Swedish mass media at the time regarding the song's lyrics. They ended up on the top charts for the first time in 1995 with the songs "Mah boys", "Area Turns Red" and "Ride". They won a Grammis Award for best club/dance song in 1995. Funk
