Fiction Writers Review
''Fiction Writers Review'' is an online literary journal that publishes reviews of new fiction, interviews with fiction writers, and essays on craft and the writing life. The journal was founded in 2008 and incorporated as a non-profit organization in Michigan in 2011. In 2012 it received 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status. In addition to publishing a literary journal, Fiction Writers Review also hosts an annual literary symposium in Ann Arbor, Michigan, entitled “The State of the Book: A Celebration of Michigan Writers and Writing.” The 2012 inaugural event was funded in part by a Major Grant from the Michigan Humanities Council, as well as support from the University of Michigan’s Department of English Language & Literature, the Zell Visiting Writing Series, and The Institute for Humanities. Dzanc Books is an American independent press book publisher. It is a non-profit 501(c)(3) private foundation. Michelle Dotter is publisher and editor-in-chief. Background Dzanc Books was founded in 2006 by Steven Gillis, a lawyer turned novelist, and Dan Wickett, a prolific on-line book reviewer. They operated from their homes, near Detroit, Michigan. Mission Dzanc pursues literary fiction and eBooks. InsideOut Literary Arts
InsideOut Literary Arts (InsideOut) is a 501(c)(3) literary nonprofit organization based in Detroit, Michigan, that uses creative writing and poetry programs to build students' literary and academic skills. InsideOut provides opportunities for Detroit students to work with professional writers through a school-based Writers-in-Residence program, afterschool programming, and community events. InsideOut programs currently serve over 2,000 youth annually in classrooms, community sites, and online. The organization has served over 65,000 students since its founding in 1995. Jay Baron Nicorvo
Jay Baron Nicorvo (born August 21, 1976) is an American novelist, poet, and essayist. Life Nicorvo was born in Perth Amboy, NJ and was raised in Sarasota, FL. He's married to the writer Thisbe Nissen and they live on an old farm outside Battle Creek, MI. Career Nicorvo's writing has appeared in ''Poets & Writers'', ''The Baffler'', ''Ploughshares'', and ''Salon (website).'' His poetry has been featured on PBS NewsHour.
