Ficha Limpa
''Lei da Ficha Limpa'' (''English:'' Clean Record Act) or Complementary Law no. 135 of 2010 is a Brazilian act that amended the ''Conditions of Ineligibility Act'' (''Complementary Law no. 64'' of 1990). It was the fourth bill proposed by direct people's initiative as law in Brazil. It was devised by Judge Marlon Reis and received about 1.3 million signatures before being submitted to the National Congress. The act makes a candidate who has been impeached, has resigned to avoid impeachment, or been convicted by a decision of a collective body (with more than one judge) ineligible to hold public office for eight years, even if possible appeals remain. The project was approved in the Chamber of Deputies on May 5, 2010, and by the Federal Senate on May 19, 2010, by unanimous vote. The National Congress () is the legislative body of Brazil's federal government. Antonio Cezar Peluso (born 3 September 1942) is a Brazilian jurist. He was a member of the Supreme Federal Court (in Portuguese: ''Supremo Tribunal Federal (STF)'') and has been the Court's Chief Justice from April 2010 to April 2012 (in Portuguese: ''Presidente do Supremo Tribunal Federal''). Gilmar Ferreira Mendes (born December 30, 1955) is a Brazilian Justice of the Supremo Tribunal Federal (Brazilian Supreme Federal Court), appointed by then President Fernando Henrique Cardoso in 2002. Mendes was the Chief Justice of the Court for the 2008–2010 term. Earlier, he had been the Attorney General from 2000 to 2002. Enrique Ricardo Lewandowski (; born 11 May 1948) is a Brazilian judge and retired justice of the Supreme Federal Court of Brazil. He is the son of a Polish father and Swiss mother, who immigrated to Brazil after the Second World War.
