Fever Dreams (Steve Roach Album)
''Fever Dreams'' (2004) is an album by the American ambient musician Steve Roach. The music consists of bizarre, hallucinatory textures and tribal percussion. The first track, "Wicked Dream", was co-composed with Patrick O'Hearn. This album is continued with ''Holding the Space – Fever Dreams II''. Concept When Roach had arrived home after one of his many extended trips to Australia, he had also caught a rare virus native to the country just before his flight. As a result, Roach underwent a series of hallucinations as internal temperatures rose to heights of 107 °F. After 3 weeks, Roach had made a full recovery. When asked at a later appearance, Roach stated that "After the fever I couldn't wait to get started on ''Fever Dreams''. It was a very intense experience, and I think now I'll be able to harness that kind of experience into this album." Chick Strand
Mildred "Chick" Strand (December 3, 1931 – July 11, 2009) was an American experimental filmmaker, "a pioneer in blending avant-garde techniques with documentary".Diana Burgess Fuller, Daniela Salvioni, ''Art/Women/California 1950-2000: Parallels and Intersections'', University of California Press, 2002, p262. Chick Strand contributed to the movement of women's experimental cinema in the early 1960s1970's. Strand's film making and directing approach incorporates personal elements from her own life experiences and societal forces and realities. ''Fever Dreams Pts 1–4'', is the fourth studio album by musician Johnny Marr. Its first two parts were released as EPs in late 2021, with the album being released in full on 25 February 2022 through New Voodoo, under license to BMG. The third part was later issued separately on vinyl. The album is Marr's first double album and peaked at number 4, the highest chart position for his solo albums. Writing and recording The album was recorded during a lockdown period. ''Our Endless Numbered Days'' is the second full-length album from Iron & Wine. Released on March 23, 2004 on Sub Pop, it was the first non-solo effort by Sam Beam under his Iron & Wine moniker. Limited edition copies of the vinyl LP came with a bonus 7" vinyl single. Limited edition copies of the CD came with a bonus CD single. On January 29, 2019, Sub Pop announced that a deluxe edition of the album commemorating its 15th anniversary would be released on March 22, 2019, featuring previously unreleased demos of eight of the tracks from the original album. Keepsake (Heavy Heart Album)
Heavy Heart are a British alternative rock band formed in 2014 in London. They are notable for writing, recording and releasing a new song each month of 2016, all of which then appeared on their 2017 debut ''Keepsake''. History Heavy Heart was initially formed at the start of 2014 in south-east London as a three-piece by Anna Vincent (vocals, guitar), James Vincent (guitar) and Patrick Fitzroy (guitar). They expanded the line-up later that year with the addition of Adam Williams (bass guitar) and Craig Brown (drums). The band self-released a demo cassette tape in 2014, following this in 2016 with a project which involved writing, recording and releasing a new song online every month throughout the year. ''Bury Your Dead'' is the fourth studio album by American metalcore band Bury Your Dead. It is the first record made after the departure of vocalist Mat Bruso and is also the first full-length album not to have all of the song titles follow a common theme. ''Balance, Not Symmetry'' is a soundtrack album by Scottish alternative rock band Biffy Clyro to the film of the same name, co-written by the band's frontman Simon Neil. Recorded at AIR Studios in England, Monnow Valley Studio in Wales and ICP Studios in Belgium with co-producer Adam Noble, it was released on 17 May 2019 by Warner Bros. Records. Initially available only for digital download and streaming, the album was also issued as a vinyl record on 26 July 2019. James Nicholas Commons (born 22 October 1988) is a British singer and songwriter, based in New Cross, London. Early life and education Commons was born in Bristol, England, but was raised, in part, in Chicago, Illinois, United States.
