Albania participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2005 in Kyiv, Ukraine, with the song "Tomorrow I Go" performed by Ledina Çelo. Its selected entry was chosen through the national selection competition Festivali i Këngës organised by Radio Televizioni Shqiptar (RTSH) in December 2004. This marked the second time that Albania participated in the Eurovision Song Contest since its debut in . Festivali i Këngës (; ), also referred to as simply FiK, is an annual music competition in Albania organised by the national broadcaster Radio Televizioni Shqiptar (RTSH). Broadcast every year since its inauguration in 1962, it has also determined the country's representative for the Eurovision Song Contest since 2004. Various singing presentations have been used throughout its history, beginning with radio-only interpretations in the first few years, live performances, playback, remakes, and even duets featuring other singers. The winners have traditionally been selected by a jury. However, other voting methods have also been applied, such as televoting or regional juries. Ukraine participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2004 with the song "Wild Dances" written by Ruslana and Oleksandr Ksenofontov. The song was performed by Ruslana, who was internally selected by the Ukrainian broadcaster National Television Company of Ukraine (NTU) to represent Ukraine at the 2004 contest in Istanbul, Turkey. "Dyki tantsi" performed by Ruslana was announced as the Ukrainian entry on 23 January 2004. The song was later retitled as "Wild Dances" and presented to the public on 25 March 2004. Rona Nishliu (born 25 August 1986) is a Kosovo-Albanian singer and songwriter. Soni Malaj (born 23 October 1981), also known mononymously as Soni, is an Albanian singer, songwriter and dancer. Life and career Soni Malaj was born on 23 October 1982 into an Albanian family in the city of Tropojë, then part of the People's Republic of Albania, present Albania. Her real name is Sonja Malaj.
