Festival De Viña 2020
Viña 2020 is the 61st edition of the Viña del Mar International Song Festival, International Song Festival of Viña del Mar, held between 23 and 28 February 2020, being conducted by María Luisa Godoy, Maria Luisa Godoy and Martín Cárcamo, Martin Cárcamo. It is organized by Televisión Nacional de Chile, Canal 13 (Chilean TV channel), Canal 13 and Fox Channel (Latin America), Fox Channel Latin America. That year's edition is distinguished from others because it was held, despite the tense social and political environment experienced in Chile since October 2019, so the event was fully marked by the 2019–2022 Chilean protests, 2019 Chilean Crisis. Quinta Vergara
Quinta Vergara is a park located in Viña del Mar, Chile. The park features three major landmarks: the Palacio Vergara, the Quinta Vergara Amphitheater and a garden. Every year the park is home to the Viña del Mar International Song Festival. Park landmarks Palace Vergara The Palacio Vergara is the former home of Jose Francisco Vergara, the founder of Viña del Mar. The home was built by the Vergara family in 1910 in a Venetian Gothic style. The home serves as a replacement to the family's former home, which was destroyed in the 1906 Valparaíso earthquake. In 1941 the city bought the building and it was converted into a museum of fine art, which features over 60 works of art. The park around the home features sculptures and statues, including a bust of writer Gabriela Mistral. Maroon 5 is an American pop rock band from Los Angeles, California. The ''Gaviota'' ('' en, Seagull'') is an award that is given to those who are winners of ''International'' and ''Folk Competitions'' of Viña del Mar International Song Festival, and also to the artists who participate in it by popular demand asking loudly be delivered. The award have seagull-shaped and the tail has a lyre, inherited icon from first award was delivered at the Quinta Vergara, the ''Lira de Oro''. The seagull is bathed in silver or gold and inserted into a wooden base, except the ''Gaviota de Platino'', which is inserted into a translucent base. The trophy was designed in 1968 by Carlos Ansaldo and Claudio di Girólamo, and developed by the company ''Broncerias Chile''.
