Fernando Quirarte
Fernando Quirarte Gutiérrez (born 17 May 1956) is a Mexican former professional footballer and manager. He played as a centre-back for the club Guadalajara from 1973 to 1987 and the Mexico national team, earning 45 caps and scoring 5 goals, including two in the 1986 FIFA World Cup. Later he was the coach of Santos Laguna, Atlas, and Jaguares. On October 4, 2011, Mexican club Chivas of Guadalajara had demoted coach Jose Luis Real and replaced him with Fernando Quirarte. Estadio Azteca () is a multi-purpose stadium located in Mexico City. It is the official home of football clubs Club América and Cruz Azul as well as the Mexico national football team. The stadium sits at an altitude of above sea level. With an official capacity of 87,523, it is the largest stadium in Mexico and Latin America. The National Football League (NFL) features one game at Estadio Azteca per season as a part of their International Series. Santa Ana Stadium, also known as Eddie West Field or the Santa Ana Bowl, is a city-owned and operated 9,000-capacity American football and soccer stadium located in downtown Santa Ana. The field was named after Eddie West, a writer for the Orange County Register and tireless supporter of the Santa Ana College Dons and all Orange County sports. The Estadio Nemesio Díez (Nemesio Diez Stadium), nicknamed "La Bombonera" (The Chocolate Box) due to its shape, is one of the oldest football stadiums in Mexico. Opened on August 8, 1954, with a capacity of 27,273, it is located in the city of Toluca, State of Mexico, near Mexico City. It is the home of Deportivo Toluca Fútbol Club. This stadium has hosted two World Cups (1970 and 1986). The stadium sits at an altitude of roughly above sea level, one of the highest altitude stadiums in North America.
