Fernando Hernández Ramírez (May 28, 1944 – May 4, 1997), known in his native Costa Rica as ''El Príncipe'' (The Prince), was a footballer. Club career He played his entire career for Deportivo Saprissa, and is considered an idol for their fans. He won a total of eleven titles with them, including six consecutive championships from 1972 to 1977, a record both in Costa Rica as well as in the American continent. International career He played 10 games for the Costa Rica national football team during the 60's and 70's, scoring one goal. He represented his country in 2 FIFA World Cup qualification matches. Fernando Hernández (born July 31, 1984) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. Career Hernández was drafted by the Chicago White Sox in the 49th round of the 2002 Major League Baseball Draft. He was later taken in the Rule V Draft by the Oakland Athletics before the season. Hernández made the opening day roster with a spot in the bullpen. On April 9, 2008, Hernández made his major league debut against the Toronto Blue Jays and pitched one inning and struck out one, while receiving a win in the process. On April 14, he was designated for assignment, and on April 16, he was returned to the White Sox. Hernández signed with the Athletics for the 2010 season. On February 16, 2011, Hernández signed a minor league deal with the New York Yankees. He was released on July 4. Fernando Hernández Leyva (born 1964) is a Mexican serial killer. He was convicted in 1986 of 33 counts of murder committed in 5 different states of the Mexican union, but he confessed to killing around 100. Leyva's suspected number of actual murders amounts to 137, which would make him one of the most prolific serial killers in the history of Mexico. He was an organized killer, nomadic, hedonistic and motivated by interest. Biography Not much is known about his childhood, so it is unclear what led to the development of his violent behavior. The actual number of victims estimated to have died at the hands of Leyva is 137, but as time passes and investigations continue, this number is increasing. For a period of 13 years, he was arrested twice and managed to escape both times from his cell. In 1999, he was arrested again, but this time he did not try to escape.
