Ferdinand Kvan Edman (born 12 February 1993) is a Norwegian middle-distance runner specializing in the 1500 metres. He is a five-time Norwegian Athletics Championships runner-up, four of those times losing only to Jakob Ingebrigtsen. Biography Edman first gained international experience at the 2009 European Cross Country Championships in Dublin, where he finished 82nd in the U20 race with a time of 20:47 as part of the bronze medal-winning Norwegian team. The following year, he achieved a 27th-place finish in the U20 race at the 2010 European Cross Country Championships in Albufeira with a time of 18:50, and in 2011, he was eliminated in the first round of the 2011 European Athletics U20 Championships in Tallinn in the 1500 metres with a time of 3:53.13. The 2010 European Cross Country Championships was a continental cross country running competition that took place on 12 December in Albufeira, Portugal. It was the second time that the country hosted the event, building upon the 1997 edition held in Oeiras. Jakob Ingebrigtsen (born 19 September 2000) is a Norwegian middle- and long-distance runner. He won the gold medal in the 1500 metres at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, setting an Olympic and European record. The 1500 metres or 1,500-metre run (typically pronounced 'fifteen-hundred metres') is the foremost middle distance track event in athletics. 2023 Nordic Athletics Championships
The 2023 Nordic Athletics Championships was the fourth edition of the international athletics competition between Nordic countries and was held in Copenhagen, Denmark. The 2009 European Cross Country Championships was a continental cross country running competition that was held on 13 December 2009 near Dublin city, Fingal in Ireland. Dublin was selected as the host city in 2007 and the event was the first time that a major European athletics championships took place in Ireland. The six men's and women's races in the championship programme took place in Santry Demense on a looped course with flat and grassy ground. The 16th edition of the European Cross Country Championships featured 323 athletes from 30 nations. Organised by the European Athletic Association, it is the area championships for the region and is held in December each year. 2021 European Athletics Team Championships
The 2021 European Athletics Team Championships was held in four cities, on 29–30 May (Super League) and on 19–20 June 2021. For the very first time, the ETC was not held on the same weekend for all leagues. At the European Athletics Team Championships medals are not awarded in individual events. Grouping and host cities It had been decided in 2018 that, starting in 2021, a new system would be introduced for grouping teams in the ETC.
