Fenix TX
Fenix TX (styled as Fenix*TX) is an American pop punk band. The band originally formed as Riverfenix in 1995 in Houston, Texas. They released an Extended play, EP, ''G.B.O.H.'', and an album, ''Riverfenix (album), Riverfenix'', on independent record labels, before having to change their name due to a cease and desist order from the estate of actor River Phoenix. Following the change of name, they signed with major label MCA Records in 1999. On MCA, they released two further albums, 1999's ''Fenix TX (album), Fenix TX'' and 2001's ''Lechuza (album), Lechuza'', which collectively sold over 600,000 units. The band broke up in 2002 over creative differences. After the split, bassist Adam Lewis and drummer Damon DeLaPaz devoted themselves to their now defunct side project Sing the Body Electric, while singing, vocalist/guitarist Will Salazar and guitarist Chris Lewis formed the band Denver Harbor. Good Riddance (band)
Good Riddance (sometimes abbreviated GR) is an American punk rock band from Santa Cruz, California. They released seven full-length studio albums on Fat Wreck Chords, then disbanded after releasing a live recording of their farewell concert in 2007. They reformed in 2012 and released an eighth studio album, '' Peace in Our Time'', in 2015. The band released Thoughts and Prayers, their eighth full length album, on July 19, 2019. Led by vocalist Russ Rankin, the band's longtime lineup includes guitarist Luke Pabich, bassist Chuck Platt, and drummer Sean "SC" Sellers. ''Purple Reign in Blood'' is the third album released by the pop punk band Fenix TX. The album is a live recording and it marks their first performance together in almost four years. Release "Katie W." and "Phoebe Cates" were made available for streaming on November 2, 2005. On the same day, it was announced that Prince was going to sue the band in regards to the album artwork. The album was released on November 8 through Adrenaline. From November 18 onwards, the version with the original artwork was replaced with a version with altered artwork. The show's encore was cut from the CD, which is evident as the end of the CD fades out while the crowd chants the phrase "One more song!". ''Lechuza'' (Spanish "barn owl") is the second studio album by American pop punk band Fenix TX, released on May 22, 2001, by MCA and Drive-Thru Records. Between June and August, the group performed on the Warped Tour. The first song, "Phoebe Cates", is a first-person tale of falling in lust with actress Phoebe Cates. It includes a bridge with the lines "Looking for a fast time / Watching out for bright lights / Send me off to private school / When I'm with you it's paradise", all of which are references to films starring Cates (''Fast Times at Ridgemont High'', '' Bright Lights, Big City'', ''Private School'' and ''Paradise'', respectively). On both the UK and the Japanese issue of the album, two bonus tracks are added — an updated rendition the Spanish Christmas song " Feliz Navidad" and the group's 2000 single "All My Fault" from ''Fenix TX''. Most of the ''Riverfenix'' was re-recorded for ''Fenix TX''. "Skinhead Jessie", "Jaw" and the untitled tracks from ''Riverfenix'' weren't included on this album, instead they were replaced by the previously unreleased "Flight 601 (All I've Got Is Time)" and "Surf Song".
