Fengon Mini EV
The Fengon Mini EV is a Battery electric vehicle, battery electric A-segment, city car manufactured by DFSK Motor since 2022. Overview The Fengon Mini EV was badged as the DFSK Sokon Candy by DFSK (Dongfeng Sokon Automobile) while wearing the Seres logo when images first surfaced in September 2021. The Chinese domestic market version was officially launched in the first quarter of 2022, under the Fengon (Fengguang) or Glory brand while badged under the Dianlan series logo and was intended to be a competitor of the slightly smaller and similarly shaped Wuling Hongguang Mini EV. Specifications The Fengon Mini EV is powered by a rear positioned drive motor supplied by Shanghai Automotive Electric Drive Co., Ltd., with a maximum power output of 34 horsepower. The Fengon Mini EV uses a lithium iron phosphate battery pack supporting an electric range of about for the 9.18kWh battery version, for the 13.8 kWh battery version, and for the 16.8kWh battery version. DFSK Motor
Dongfeng Sokon Automobile () known internationally as DFSK Motor, is a joint venture between Dongfeng and Chongqing Sokon Industry Group Co Ltd., formed on June 27th, 2003. DFSK produces microvans, flat-bed commercial trucks and passenger vehicles under the Xiaokang brand and sport utility vehicle under the Fengguang (''Fengon'' in English) and Glory brands. Manufacturing for DFSK takes place in a total of four different facilities, two of which are located in Hubei Shiyan and two in Chongqing. History At the beginning of 2000, Chongqing Yu'an Innovation Technology (Group), a manufacturer of motorcycles and automotive components, and Dongfeng Motor evaluated the possibility of manufacturing microvans intended for small Chinese businesses. Dongfeng had experience producing cars for PSA, but had not yet produced vehicles in the light commercial segment, and approved the project.
