''The Investiture of the Gods'', also known by its Chinese names () and is a 16th-century Chinese novel and one of the major vernacular Chinese works in the gods and demons (''shenmo'') genre written during the Ming dynasty (1368–1644). Consisting of 100 chapters, it was first published in book form between 1567 and 1619. Another source claims it was published in 1605. Hoshin Engi
, also known as ''Soul Hunter'', is a Japanese manga series by Ryu Fujisaki. ''Hoshin Engi'' is inspired by the Chinese literary classic ''Investiture of the Gods'', a ''shenmo'' novel. The story involves the Chinese mythology and history of China, in particular the last members of the In (Yin dynasty aka Shang dynasty) and the plot to overthrow them. The manga series was serialized in Shueisha's ''Weekly Shōnen Jump'' magazine from 1996 to 2000, with its chapters collected in 23 ''tankōbon'' volumes. Fujisaki also wrote a short manga series that was serialized in ''Weekly Young Jump'' from April to June 2018. In North America, Viz Media licensed the manga for English language release. A 26-episode anime television series titled ''Senkaiden Hōshin Engi'' was broadcast on TV Tokyo from July to December 1999. Aeolus (Dongfeng Fengshen) is an automobile marque owned by the Chinese automaker Dongfeng Passenger Vehicle Company, a division of Dongfeng Motor Group. The brand was launched in July 2009 using the Fengshen name, and was later renamed to Aeolus as the English name, while the Chinese name remained the same (). Typhoon Fengshen (2002)
Typhoon Fengshen was the strongest storm of the 2002 Pacific typhoon season. It developed on July 13 from the monsoon trough near the Marshall Islands, and quickly intensified due to its small size. By July 15, Fengshen attained typhoon status, and after initially moving to the north, it turned toward the northwest. On July 18, the typhoon reached its peak intensity of 185 km/h (115 mph 10‑minute winds), according to the Japan Meteorological Agency. The Joint Typhoon Warning Center estimated peak winds of 270 km/h (165 mph 1‑minute winds), and the agency estimated that Fengshen was a typhoon#Intensity classifications, super typhoon for five days. Typhoon Fengshen, known in the Philippines as Typhoon Frank, was the sixth named storm and the fourth typhoon recognized by the Japan Meteorological Agency. The Joint Typhoon Warning Center recognized Fengshen as the seventh tropical depression, the sixth tropical storm, and fifth typhoon of the 2008 Pacific typhoon season. Fengshen made a direct hit on the Philippines and China, causing severe damage and resulted in at least 1,371 deaths and leaving 87 people missing.
