James Fenderson
James Edward Fenderson Jr. (born October 24, 1976) is a former American football running back. Fenderson played college football at Hawaii after transferring from Long Beach City College. An undrafted free agent, Fenderson played for the New Orleans Saints of the National Football League from 2001 to 2003. Early life and college career Born in Long Beach, California, Fenderson attended Mililani High School in Mililani, Hawaii. Fenderson lettered in football, basketball, and track at Mililani High and graduated in 1995. Returning to California, Fenderson began his college football career on the junior college level playing at safety at Long Beach City College in 1996 and 1997. In 1999, Fenderson transferred to the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, where he walked on to the Hawaii Warriors. He played at running back in 1999 and 2000 under June Jones. Grace Baxter Fenderson
Grace Baxter Fenderson (November 2, 1883 – March 21, 1962) was an American educator and clubwoman based in Newark, New Jersey. A teacher at Monmouth Street School in Newark for over 40 years, Fenderson was a co-founder of the Newark chapter of the NAACP and served as president of the Lincoln-Douglass Memorial Association. In 1959, Fenderson received the Sojourner Truth Award from the New Jersey chapter of the National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women's Clubs (NANBPWC). Early life Grace Baxter was born in Newark, the daughter of James Miller Baxter and Pauline Louisa Mars Baxter. Her father was a teacher born in Philadelphia, and the first Black school principal in Newark. Her mother, from Brooklyn, was a caterer. Her brother J. Reginald Hartley Fenderson (December 28, 1911 – August 16, 1986) was an American actor in theatrical productions and films in the United States. He appeared in various films with African American casts in the 1930s and 1940s. Reginald Fenderson was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on December 28, 1911. His father, Alfonso Fenderson, was the original actor who portrayed Moses in the play, ''The Green Pastures''. Reginald Fenderson was an actor on the stage version and road tour of ''Green Pastures'', playing the characters Joshua and the magician for at least five years. He played a feature role in the 1939 film ''Reform School'', as an inmate named Freddie Gordon. The Gap Band was an American R&B and funk band that rose to fame during the 1970s and 1980s. The band consisted of three brothers: Charlie, Ronnie, and Robert Wilson, along with other members; it was named after streets (Greenwood, Archer, and Pine) in the historic Greenwood neighborhood in the brothers' hometown of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Fanderson is the official appreciation society for the works of British film and television producers Gerry and Sylvia Anderson. Based in the United Kingdom, but with an international membership, it is a not-for-profit organisation run by a small committee of volunteers. The club is endorsed by ITV Studios Global Entertainment, ITC Entertainment Group, The Indestructible Production Company, Anderson Entertainment and the family of Sylvia Anderson. Activities The club was formed on 20 August 1981 at a meeting convened by ITC and Gerry Anderson. Previously, ITC had supported the various clubs and societies that followed Anderson's work; in 1981, it requested that these groups merge and, in exchange, promised to give its full backing (except financial support) to the new organisation.
