Now called the ''Intercalated Games'', the 1906 Games are no longer considered as an official Olympic Games by the International Olympic Committee. In Greek mythology, Menelaus (; grc-gre, Μενέλαος , 'wrath of the people', ) was a king of Mycenaean (pre- Dorian) Sparta. According to the ''Iliad'', Menelaus was a central figure in the Trojan War, leading the Spartan contingent of the Greek army, under his elder brother Agamemnon, king of Mycenae. Péter Tóth (fencer)
Dr. Péter Tóth (12 July 1882 – 28 February 1967) was a Hungarian fencer who competed at the 1906 Intercalated Games and at the 1908, 1912 and 1928 Olympics. He won team gold medals in sabre in 1908 and 1912, finishing fifth-sixth individually; he won an individual bronze medal in the sabre three hits event in 1906. In 1928 he placed fifth in the team foil. Domestically Tóth won 17 Hungarian foil and sabre titles between 1907 and 1934, and competed until 1937. Tóth was a founding member of Fédération Internationale d'Escrime The ''Fédération Internationale d'Escrime'' ( en, International Fencing Federation), commonly known by the acronym FIE, is the international governing body of Olympic fencing. Ioannis Georgiadis
Ioannis Georgiadis (29 March 1876 – 17 May 1960) was a Greece, Greek fencing, fencer. He competed at the 1896 Summer Olympics in Athens, the 1906 Intercalated Games, 1906 Intercalated Olympics and the 1924 Summer Olympics in Paris. In 1896 Georgiadis competed in the men's Sabre (fencing), sabre event. In the five-man, round-robin tournament, Georgiadis won all four of his matches. He defeated Georgios Iatridis, Adolf Schmal, Telemachos Karakalos, and Holger Nielsen in succession to win first place. Georgiadis later became Professor of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology at the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. References External links
