Female Preacher
''Female Preacher'' is the debut, and to date the only album recorded by Tonya Davis, a US rapper better known as Overweight Pooch, which was released in 1991 on A&M Records. Although the record indicated that Pooch had some potential, her album didn't go far commercially. Three songs were issued on single including a promo release, "Hip House Party", initially also promoted on ''Jam Harder: The A&M Underground Dance Compilation'' in 1990. The compilation scored at number sixty-three on the U.S. R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and at number one-hundred-thirty-one on the Top 200 ''Billboard'' Albums. Overweight Pooch (born Tonya Davis) is a female rapper. Her name comes from her childhood nickname. Career In 1991, she released her only album to date '' Female Preacher'' on A&M Records, and scored a moderate commercial success with the single " I Like It", which charted at number #16 on the U.S. ''Billboard'' Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart, and at #58 in the UK Singles Chart. William King (born January 30, 1949) is an American singer, musician and choreographer. He is a founding member of the Commodores, where he plays trumpet, guitar, synthesizer, flute, and congas/percussion and is the group's choreographer. Background King was born in Birmingham, Alabama. Milan B. Williams (March 28, 1948 – July 9, 2006) was an American keyboardist and a founding member of The Commodores. Biography Williams was born in Okolona, Mississippi, and began playing the piano after being inspired by his older brother Earl, who was a multi-instrumentalist. Williams's first band was called The Jays. After they disbanded, he met the other founding members of the Commodores in 1967.
