Fem2Fem was an American techno group who released three albums in the 1990s. Featuring actress Lezlie Deane as a member, Fem2Fem were the first openly lesbian pop group to chart, although the band did contain both straight and gay women. The band appeared in the December 1993 issue of ''Playboy'' magazine. History The group was assembled by producers Peter Rafelson and Michael Lewis as a "pop project of dance music". Produced by Rafelson, with songs written by Rafelson and Lewis, Fem2Fem featured post- rave, pre-trance arrangements. The cover of their first album, including the font, was designed to be a distaff version of '' Trans-Europe Express'' by Kraftwerk. Christina Minna (manager Michael Lewis' step daughter) was not in the group when Julie Ann Park, Michelle Crispin, Lynn Pompey, Lezlie Deane and Jennifer Wolf posed for ''Playboy'' magazine in December of 1993. Lezlie Deane
Lezlie Deane (born June 1, 1964) is an American singer, musician, roller derby athlete and actress who has starred in film and television. She was once best known for her roles in horror films, including '' 976-EVIL'' (1988), '' Girlfriend from Hell'' (1989) and '' Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare'' (1991). In the 1990s, she was a member of the techno group Fem2Fem. Early life and career Deane was born Leslie Denise Lonon (the "s" in her first name being a typo by the hospital where she was born), in Corsicana, Texas. Aside from her big screen roles, Deane made guest appearances on such television shows as '' The Bronx Zoo'', ''21 Jump Street'', '' Hunter'', ''Freddy's Nightmares'', ''Dynasty'' and '' Pacific Blue''. An all-female band is a musical group in popular music that is exclusively composed of female musicians. This is distinct from a girl group, in which the female members are solely vocalists, though this terminology is not universally followed. Techno Music
Techno is a genre of electronic dance music (EDM) which is generally produced for use in a continuous DJ set, with tempo often varying between 120 and 150 beats per minute (bpm). The central rhythm is typically in common time (4/4) and often characterized by a repetitive four on the floor beat. Artists may use electronic instruments such as drum machines, sequencers, and synthesizers, as well as digital audio workstations. Drum machines from the 1980s such as Roland's TR-808 and TR-909 are highly prized, and software emulations of such retro instruments are popular. Nobody's Angel
Nobody's Angel was an American girl group of the late 1990s and early 2000s. The group consisted of four members Alitzah Navarro, Stacey Harper, Amy Sue Hardy and Sarah Smith and later, Jennie Kwan and Tai-Amber Hoo as replacements when Harper and Hardy left the group. The band was put together after they became friends and discovered they had something in common: a shared taste for music, dancing and acting. Biography In 1998, the quartet recorded "Let's Get Together" for the movie '' The Parent Trap''.
